InTheShed Grows Inside & Out: Jump In Any Time

When you identified this problem, did you use a slurry test? I worry about my small containers/big plants using up all the buffers sometimes.
I did do a slurry test.

I usually veg longer than you do and haven't used up the buffers yet, though our alkaline water measurements may differ by a country mile! I'd say the biggest issue with small pots/big plants is the root:soil ratio. When they get rootbound the have a tough time accessing all the nutrients you feed them.

Thank you Shed! :thanks:

Do fabric pots make any difference with it avoiding becoming rootbound? Interesting, I just thought I would need to water more frequently. Always learning!!

I think it takes them longer to get rootbound in fabric pots, as air pruning causes the main roots to send out new feeder roots (rather than wrapping the big roots around and around). It does mean watering more often at the start, but once it's jam packed the roots have a hard time taking up the nutes.

Do they make fabric solo cups?
They do! They are called socks.

That looks like a fiddly time in trim jail lol.

Congrats on the nomination buddy.
Hope you are doing well and keeping out of trouble

Lookin good in there Shed! As always. Quick question my friend, or any one of your knowing followers..... what would be the latest time that you would set
a plant outside for flowering..... I understand the equinox and all that... I figure I have two more months or so, before we
start freezing here. Is it too late to set some plants outside to flower? I have two plants that were given to me that I don't have room for in my indoor tent.... they are just itching to flower, but I don't have the room inside.

If you only have 60 days before the freeze comes, I would say you don't have a chance of bringing your plants to harvest. If you put them outside now it would be at least two to three weeks before they show pistils, which would leave you with somewhere less than 45 days to complete flowering.

But if it's that or throw them out then give it a shot!

Thanks Shed, I do have the ability to move them back in to a protected shed if need be.... but it would only buy me a week or so, since it is not insulated. Ok cool, I'll go for it...... Kush and White widow are going outside.... like ya said, what do I have to lose. Thanks bro.... You the man. Thank you!

I got a kitten bout a year old and a bit who i rescued as a kitten called him OG, moving to the city this week and been trying to have his balls (round 2) off, he's only just recently forgiven me for round 1 about six months ago where I tried to take him for stitches and his balls and he escaped his basket en route to the vetinary clinic, never saw him for 3 months then he rocked up one day and would watch me from my neighbors yard whilst I tended my garden for weeks then one day decided I was forgiven now we best ishbuds for now... hahaha

Hope you having a blessed weekend mr. Shed.... :passitleft:
