OK, new journal time. New strains, new space, more space, another 600w hps soon, light mover soon, more nutes, more knowledge, more privacy.....yeeehah!!
Things are still really makeshift.. I have one 600w set up temp kind in a closet with plastic drapes and an AC cut into the plastic and 8 plants on their 4th day of flower. Pretty ghetto but next week I'll move the 8'x7' room over and the other 600w (its finishing off a batch of Sour D right now...see other journal if you havent already, the SD is real pretty!) and split this batch of eight under both 600s with the 3 Skunk Dogs under one and the 2 PNs and 3 SDs under the other. This batch has been vegged more than my previous batches, so I am hoping for really good results with them under the 2 600s. I have no idea how the SkD or PN perform flowering, so its gonna be interesting, esp. the SkD, it grows really trippy like a vine. Down the road I would love to try it with a vertical cage grow/hanging bulb, it would be so perfect to weave thru a vert cage!!
Anyways, I'll kinda let the pics finish the story for now, and fill in the rest of the details over the next couple weeks as they come together.
All 8 together-
The Skunk Dogs-
One of the Purple Nurple-
One of the Sour Diesel-
In the closet-
Ghetto style-
The Skunk Dog (left) and Train Wreck moms (mom to be for the TW)-
Same two, TW on the left-
SkD-
TW-
I'll likely take the top off the TW to clone in the next couple days and get her understory bushing out for her future motherly duties, and try to get the top clone into flower for a test run in a month or so.
Just in case I'll let you all know now, in my mind I kinda think theres a decent chance the PN and SkD were incorrectly labeled/switched due to the way the guy descibed their growth characteristics and ease/difficulty of cloning the two (one was supposed to be very easy, one kinda tuff, and they have been the exact opposite so far). At least by the time they harvest I will know for sure, as the PN tastes like grape soda with a mellow high, and the SkD is a crippler.
OK, thats it for now. Like I said, check out my Sour D journal to see what I've been up to leading up to this, and for some decent bud porn. Got a bud up for Nug of the Month too, just a couple more days to vote. In fact, go vote for all the contests if you havent already, its good fun and theres some good nugs, plants, and people to support!
and Aloha
