Indoor Hydroponic Help Needed!

2 x Solar system 1100 have the perfect coverage.

Thanks for the help.

Do you know if anyone has tried DWC mixed with aeroponics? Would be interesting to see.

Which would you rather have:

- PHYTOMAX-2 1000 LED GROW LIGHTS

or

- SolarSystem® 1100 UVB?
I would rather invest in HLG or BudgetLED... but that’s just my opinion. Those are great lights for sure, but I really like the QB’s. I have a few lights from both HLG and BudgetLED and they both top of the line and produce good yielding top quality buds while keeping the temperatures low. They are very efficient and both have excellent customer service, both companies get a 5 star rating from me. The up side to BudgetLED is that you get a discount on your first purchase. So I highly recommend checking them out.

@BubblinBuds

Thank you for the ideas, I've taken a look at the QB, a few questions I have.

1) Is there a quantum board that has a full light spectrum, ie. that doesn't need and extra QB with Osram Deep Red 660nm, and Osram Far Red 730nm for veg?

2) Would the SolarSystem® 1100 UVB not have the upper hand compared in this department with an all in one lighting package?

Oh another question, with the SolarSystem® 1100 UVB I can dim the other spectrum during veg and flower, with a Quantum Board is that possible?

HLG and BudgetLED both have the upper hand over that solar system light. I’m going to use our sponsor BudgetLED as a reference point. Solar system efficiency is 2.23 umol/j whileand it states 800 watts but it uses external fans to cool the fixture so your not getting a true 800 watts of light... and it doesn’t even do a good job at that, they state the fixtures normal operating temp is 107F, that is HOT compared to QB’s....as for the spectrum budget has a far more full spectrum fixture then the solar system does... and you have to screw the uvb on the solar system lol so it’s no different then budget adding reds and blues to their board... better in my opinion...solar system doesn’t even state what kind of diode they use in there light.... no offense but no way would I ever recommend you pay $1500 for that solar system light... The BudgetLED 500 series 3 fixture would give you 500 true dimmable watts that are MUCH more efficient at 3.03umol/j... you can even speak to BudgetLED’s rep and they can customize your boards the way you want with what spectrums you want. BudgetLED blows that light away at a fraction of the cost.... I’ll let the pictures do the talking. If you have anymore questions just ask Justin the @Budget LED rep.

As you can see there is a big difference.

1. yes they have QB’s that are only one spectrum with no reds, blues, or uv’s... These will be a set spectrum.. 3500k spectrum is recommended to get you from seed to harvest... but with that said it’s better to have the reds, blues, and uv’s on the light.

2. Absolutely not, BudgetLED and HLG are both better products.

3. As of right now I don’t know of any QB’s that you can dim the reds and blues separately from the normal diodes themselves.. That really shouldn’t be a deal breaker on you choosing a light fixture in my opinion...

What you really want to look at when purchasing a light is true watts, efficiency, and spectrum... if automation is a concern they make timers that will work QB fixtures as well. I really hope that the information I provided you with helps you make an educated, well informed decision on what purchases you make.

750xl Kind LED. Is a very versatile light that has grown Big Flowers for me. Check them out. I also grow RDWC and have had great yeild results.

Check out the bucket company for your grow setup it will do anything you want with minimal change they are a game changer and one of the reasons I just sold my current culture rdwc setup for the bucket company instead.....
And you want the best lighting scynce LED the dragon alpha is pry what your going to want hands down thee best LED company on the market ain't no one fuckin w them or even close to what they are doing and made fully in the USA including their power supplies too they q.c every single light that leaves the building and for top end lighting there's no one else to compare to them period...Most even ppfd out of any other light plus full spectrum tuning and u get full power at all colors...As I cannot wait to get mine

After spending quite a bit of time researching, I became sold on what is know as "Quantum" boards, especially after purchasing a par meter and giving the demo until at the local hydro store a series a tests. Keep in mind, this is coming from a guy that swore an oath to the HPS and MH gods stating not that long ago LED would NEVER replace them.
These new LED's truly shine, but it isnt the word "Quantum" that's key. What makes it so special and a true 1000 watt HPS replacement is the Samsung chipset, specifically the LM-300 series. So don't go thinking your stuck with any particular brand, just make sure of the chipset. Most vendors use top bin chipsets, so they will probably last a long time.
We use 3k boards in flower and 4k boards in veg.
Looking back, the change to LED has truly saved a solid 45%-50% in the cost of lighting electrical consumption.
Good luck in your decision!
