The plants are looking fabulous so far! Yes that is a prime candidate for topping. Make the cut after the 4th node, and leave about 1/4 inch or more stub on top to help keep the stem from splitting.

Day 36 from seed. 5 1/2 weeks from birth. Busy, busy in the grow room tonight!

I see big tasty has joined us, welcome! ...

Getting out the Fiskars cause we are heading to the salon!

So crisis mode last night when I discovered that my girls looked sad and droopy again!

Is there a doctor in the house??? STAT.


So what changed? 48 hours after nute change?


I left humidifier off last night

Bucket temps low again this AM. 64 or 65 deg.

RH 48-58 * F

Room Temp 66* F this AM. Now up to 72* F tonight.

I took about an inch of nute solution out from each bucket.

Lowered PPM /EC in the Afghan bucket to 1.0 EC

Checked PH, EC & solution temps. Adjusted PH with control kit.

Now: 72 hours post nute change, added root inoculant.

Fingers crossed that in the AM they don't look worse!

Noticed some of the older & longer Roots are browning, either nute solution stain or the start of a larger problem.

The newer shorter roots are still white.

Added 3 ml each bucket of sensizym except to #4.

The one planted without the jiffy pod.

Defol the bottom leaves on #4 too.

Snip, snip 2 Incredible Bulks (#4 & #& my #1 the solo Afghan Kush got topped tonight.

Cut above 4th node. Thanks Frizz. How scary was taking herb pruners to my gal's????

Surprisingly they really look good even after 1st cutting.

Put humidifier back in & rolled in the heater. Want to keep room & res tanks a bit warmer tonight.

Fingers crossed I solved the issue or issues the babies were having. I feel they are looking perkier already!

Awrite bud . No good . I'd empty all the water out and clean ur bucket out and snip those roots off that r brown looks like root rot a hate dwc . Reminds me of problems I had ! Clean ur air stones too ! Is there any light getting into ur roots by chance ?

I added 3 ml per bucket yesterday of Sensizym. It's half of what the bottle called for. Do u think I should add more or just cut off the roots that are brown?

I won't have time to do a bucket change until this PM...

I don't think roots are getting light through the buckets except for me checking them a lot over the last few days. Maybe i exposed them to too much light myself?

I wash air stones under plain tap H20 when i did my last nute change as the solution gets built up on them. Is there something i can wash them in?

Make sure that your nutrient solution is below the bottom of your netpot to encourage root growth. If your light is intense it will make it through the blue buckets also.

I don't use air stones in my buckets. The air is pumped through the side hose into the bottom of the bucket directly. Easier to deal with and no problems yet.

Not off the top of my head. Quick fix if the buckets work out to be the problem would be wrapping with duct tape though. Feel free to holler if you have questions, I'm subbed to a couple hundred threads so it's easy to miss a post.

I have the orange buckets from the depot and they leak light like crazy. Wrapping them in a cut-down windshield reflector and some velcro took care of it.

I don't flush in veg, just do reservoir changes. My flush is last week of bloom, water and Flawless Finish only.
