Increasing yield with defoliation indoors: What's it mean? How to do it?

I've been out of this for a long time. But starting it in veg produces way more shoots which produce flowers. Your cut locations are fine. I got closer to the v though.

Hope this produces good meds for you.

Thanks. Glad it helped you. I was only growing meds for my mother's dementia. She passed in 2015. I'm now retired in the Philippines. I will say I did enjoy learning about cannabis and it's medicinal qualities that for years I was skeptical about. Now I highly suggest it for those that have a need to treat. **As for the recreational aspect? I could care less. I look at it as mostly harmless. Just don't bake and drive. heh.

It helps people with dementia. Brings on calmness. Good choice. We use it for nerve/muscle pain. 70 willl be my next birthday so there's that. Plenty of aches and pains that a few tokes take care of. I think rec use is fun too.

I'm glad to have met you, I've mentioned your method many times to others here as a method to slow a grow down if needed. You did a fine job of detailed explanation! That's why I used it and it worked a charm! Be well Bassman!

defoliation increased yields >>> there are a few ways --consider this: in week 3 of veg do a "heavy defol" and then 2 days before you flip (12/12) do a light defo - then in week 4 of flower do another "heavy defo When you defo ONLY remove just fan leaves (no sugar leaves) I'm sure 420 has a defo info also GrowWeedeasy.com has a very good one also
Happy Pruning !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bassman59, a question.

The strangest ladies I’ve seen but look ok. After the 21/22 day strip, do you then leave them to recover at all? I think I read your back in there daily plucking leaves, how many, roughly? 10 in a square meter per day, or 20 or 40?

I left them for a couple of days but am like you, I can’t stop snipping, but if it’s not good to do it without any respite I’ll slow down.

I also like the reflective floor idea as light now penetrates to the base. The objective is to get light to every flowering site possible, correct?

Cheers fella.

Hi buddy, after the 21st day trim I only remove fan leaves that are covering bud sites and have at least a one inch stem.
Same after 42nd day trim.
I shut the irrigation and off a few days prior to harvest and do a per harvest trim.
This just what I do, but every grow is different. Sometimes there is more trim done, sometimes less trim.

Thought this was a cool pic, just the UV lamp on. The soft ties holding the plants bent.
