So here's how ya make it.
-Step 1. Gather your materials.
1. 14 grams of decarbed popcorn buds and trim. I used about 2-3 gs of trim and 11-12 gs of good and not so good popcorn buds.. I used the slurricane btw. Decarbing means you 'cook' your buds in your oven at 220f, 105c, for around 100 mins. More or less time is desired depending on the amount used. Also i forgot i added some dry sifted kief on top of the buds before i decarbed them. .
Note: DECARBING YOUR BUDS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT STEPS. You skip this step and you have failed from the start. So dont fuck that up. .
2. Less then 1 cup, 240ml, of organic coconut oil.. so around 200ml of oil. Make sure to pack it down in the measuring cup some as it is solid at room temp.
3. 1 small teaspoon of sunflower lecithin. This stuff is goooooopy so dont try and wash off your teaspoon in the sink, wipe it off instead then wash.
4. A small pan and some sort of food thermometer. I use an accurite meat thermometer and it works just fine. Which the needle fell off when i dropped it on the floor in the middle of cooking the oil.. so its good to have a backup one. Which i did lol. .
5. A glass bowl and cheese cloth. Plus clips to clip the cheese cloth to the bowl so when you dump it all on top the cloth doesnt fall in the bowl.
Once you have everything you are ready to start a cookin! Sorry i failed to take pictures of everything i did. Blame ns and our awesome gaming sessions lol. .
After the decarb process. These buds are perfectly decarbed imo.
-Step 2. Melt the oil down and stabilize the temp at 180-200f, 82-93c.
-Step 3. Mix in your small teaspoonful of liquid sunflower lecithin.
-Step 4. Add dem buds! .Again im sorry i failed to take any other pictures of the oil making process but visuals arent really needed.
-Step 5. Monitor the oil for the first 30 minutes to an hour. Checking the temp every 5-10 minutes then every 15 minutes. You want to cook the oil between 180-200f, 82-93c, for optimal absorption.
Note: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THE TEMPERATURE OF THE OIL DOES NOT EXCEED 220F OR 105C. You will start to burn off valuable cannabinoids when you reach and exceed these temps.
-Step 6. Cook the oil for 4 hours stirring the buds every 30 minutes while simultaneously checking the temp.
Note: DONT FORGET TO CHECK THE TEMPS OR YOU WILL FUCK IT ALL UP! .
-Step 7. Let it sit in the pan for 5 minutes then dump it on your cheese cloth clipped to the bowl. Then let that cool down for 15 minutes and wring out as much oil as you can from the material in the cloth.
Note: Put the cloth in your mouth after wringing it out and start sucking.. instant relief of any tooth or head pains. Plus it gets you high lol. Straight to the dome!!
-Step 8. Pour the oil into a glass jar and seal it right away. Put it in a dark cupboard for storage. DO NOT STORE IT IN THE FRIDGE. You will ruin it imo. It will solidify once it reaches room temp.
-Step 9. Get a piece of bread and wipe up the remaining oil in the glass bowl and pan.
-Step 10. Enjoy!!!
