Heres an update on the bigger ladies.. gonna take a clone from the gsc xtrm and flip them tomorrow. I tried bringing the light a bit closer this past week.. they werent having it. So i put it back to where it was, about 36-40" away from the canopy.
The chemdawg likes the extra light but lost coast og and gsc xtrm didnt care for it as much. Some light stress on the lost coast and the gsc was getting too perky.
Which brings me to something i learned the other day. When a plant is praying to the light its actually a form of light stress. Very slight light stress and usually doesnt harm a plant. But if left that way for too long it will. It harmed the lost coast a little.
The leaf cupped and pointing down or cupped and pointing up are signs of light stress and starting to damage the leaf like in the pic. If i had left the light closer that leaf would eventually start to burn up.
Here is the top of the plant, notice how perky those top leaves are.. not necessarily a good thing. They are receiving too much light.
The chemdawg shows no signs of light stress. She LOVES the dwarf star. Her tacoed leaves are not light stress and are a genetic phenotype. They have always been that way. Shes the tallest gal pushing 2'.
Rich farmers gsc xtrm is a great plant. It needs to be topped or fimmed however. Cause shes too tall and not so wide. Her side branches arent keeping up. Those big fat indica leaves are blocking all the light.
Plants look good for no topping or anything. The only thing i did was bend the tops over and tuck back the fan leaves to expose middle growth. Ive done some defoiling too but you cant really tell lol.
