LOL I grew up in the "Offensive Humor" days...didn't affect me a bit...what is funny is funny and what is sad is sad in my opinion only (key)

In my 60+ years all I have seen is life become more difficult...not with the age factor but with ideology, seems that now everyone looks to be insulted so they can whine to the world about it to gain 15 minuets of attention.

My hope is that common sense takes back over and we can get back to rational cohesive thinking again with out politics...I don't think I will see it but hope all of you "Younglings" the best...may the force be with you! :cheertwo:

At 40 something, i hate all the safety pin, snowflakes, and the university professors that enable the victim mentality. Ok time for a bowl!
 
Todays society is in part due to people who look to Facebook and Instagram to know how to act and feel. The opinions with the most likes are my opinion! The Outrage with the most likes are my outrage.

Its all exhausting. Pass tha Bowl Age :passitleft:

Man that was well said. Im 28 and i could Talk for an hour not gonna try to write it.. Lmao. I hate my generation and the ones below it. I call them walmart and mcdonalds kids. All The cling together, self righteous,lazy, entitled little brats and these ppl are 35 and shit... Ridiculous. And they are fucking parents..raising kids..... Wtf. Im done..lol im done..but keep in mind this isnt everyone just most of them making us all look bad. And the poor children .. Its not their fault ...yet; but they will be old enough for me to hate them soon. Lmao im done.. One of those things i should have a second acc for hahahah. Idc I'm posting it

I've been off of FB, with any type of regularity, for at least 6 months. My life is much better for it. Odd thing is, that of all the people I'm "friends" with. Not one has called, emailed, or texted, to see how I'm doing. Back to the old way of doing things, but I'm not expecting any letters either...

I had to get off Facebook this week....along with keeping my TV shut off. Just so draining to see the perpetual hate and negativism online and on the television. I can't even watch football anymore without social issues being shoved down my throat. This place is so much better for me from a sanity perspective. I wonder if any of the people I don't talk to on facebook will bother contacting me now that I am gone (honestly don't care if they do or don't.....I have always kept my circle very small) from that cesspool of hate and anger.

Here is take of a guy who didn't grow up with tech. It's six of one half a dozen of the other. It's great to be able to connect with people all over the world. No more looking through a stack of encyclopedia's any more. That is where we used to get info for anyone unfamiliar. Now I just google and YouTube.
Social media is where I don't get it. Maybe cause I've never been involved. Never even had an email until 2005. Never been on Facebook until 5 years ago cause they won't let me moderate my restaurant page without my own.
Here is where I see the diff. When I was younger if you wanted to talk shit about someone you ran the risk of getting punched in the mouth. Now that everyone has a camera in their pocket. All they have to do is whip that out and your going down for assault. Not to mention they are doing it from afar and the response is just to talk shit back.
My problem with the internet is a moral one. We would never allow books to be published with some of the shit said out there. So why do we allow it on the net. Created by the US government and given to the people for free. Should have had some inherent rules for content. Just like the US government spending all their time just trying to figure out if they can. Never stopping and taking a moment to think if they should. There's my rant for the day.
Oh and try employing this gen. fuck me.

I'm the awkward millennial that grew up with tech (33), only to watch my generation succumb to participation trophies.
I picked my switch, I got the belt...I think the biggest misconception is the entire gen is fucked.
The one before you said the same about you.
But the loud disturbingly absent minded minority generally has the loudest microphones.
So I implore you, have faith, the sane will persevere.
 
I have some faith and not all things are bad about your gen. for instance I will leave my SUV run in the hot and the cold my kid gives me shit. My kid wants to know why we only have one garbage. Shouldn't there be three he says so that you lessen your footprint. Shit I still throw things out my window. I know it makes me a horrible person. My kid sees that he would make me stop and pick it up. And I totally believe in global warming. Just didn't grow up with that as a focus. Don't get me wrong I have some awesome 18-30 employees. I just don't get the majorities work ethic. Today is payday I've had 4 people call in for their shift already. When I was their age if I called sick on payday. My boss would have said excuse me are you calling in fired cause if not show the fuck up.
 
Dude people are allowed to dick around at the work place.. i almost feel like its encouraged sometimes. I get so fucking pissed off at all the dumb fuckers i work with.. its not just my generation either. Im 28 and there are 40 50 year olds thinking their hot shit but they screw shit up all the time and complain to me when something isnt right.. its like oh no shit really well your dumbass fucked it up so whos fault is it really??? Fucking self-righteous fuck wads man.. i cant handle this shit anymore. People make me want to die... ugh

I agree with everything except the last paragraph i hate people making rules that have consequences because they feel other people should feel the same way about that rule and if they dont they should get punished from our big government..and to be honest if the government was controlling the internet i wouldnt be on here. I also dont watch t.v. as i believe it is brain wash.. The proof is in the title... PAID PROGRAMMING. Someone is paying money for you to watch the shows they choose in the order they choose. Brain wash. But each state should govern itself. The way it was meant to be.. Meaning 1 state might have rules on the internet but the others dont.. Now they cant control what people do but they can sure punish they people that dont listen. Everyone is happy. Because then i can leave your crack pot state . federal laws should be restricted to life altering crimes.. Murder kidnapping rape. Shit luke that but a personal decision should never be the governments choice... Abortion ,gay rights, cannibis, insurance.
