Imtoasted's Journey Of Perpetual Bliss

Glad to see you joined the night time growers club. Don't think I could have made it through July with the lights on during the day. It was 37-40 Celsius for over 40 days.

Starting to see some cooler weather here now, what a crazy summer it has been, still smoky as hell though. My hydro bill is going to suck, running ac full on.

My brother in laws both live out there and say it has been crazy smoky. Hope it clears for you soon. I got a 475.00 power bill the other day as well.

Oh the hydro company must love me, I'm surprised I haven't been approached to upgrade my power to 200 amp service at least. I haven't seen the transformers catch fire yet, so I think I'm still good lol.

My power bill was 216 this month... yikes lol. Better then 450 though, thats crazy. Electricity must cost more there? Plenty of room van, please find a seat! .

The light was 18" away, at 10" i would have some toasted buds lol.. lastnight i put the plants on those tote lids. Now they are 22-24" away, which is perfect i think. The plants should stop stretching now and hopefully only grow a few more inches. So the last three weeks of flower i can move it down to 18" like i was told to by neil. Want to actually use the recommended heights told to me by him and see the results.. then maybe play around with it for later grows. Having the light so close seemed to wear them out at times.. now im hoping they really start to pump out the frost and build buds as they should. Its only been 13 days since they started flowering though, so there is plenty of time. Both strains finish around 60 days and im hoping that stays true.

Went in there during lights off a minute ago and holy shit it stinks in the tent so bad guys.. had to get out of there quick cause i have a headache this morning and the smell was overwhelming me. I cant friggen wait.. i think my second harvest is going to be extra special. Knock on wood lol.. .

Hey you gotta do what you gotta do man.. i wouldnt want a footlong donger so she isnt getting one anyway lol.

Ok guys i figured it out.. maybe pinched a little too much with a few but i did four of em. The two bigger ones on the one side are down a little low.. oops. Oh well, im excited to see how they bounce back!

I know im new and not much experience but take this for what it is worth.

My two tallest ended up being females.

Going off of the rule of thumb of males being tallest was abusing one to expiriment, I ended up supercropping to keep hieght down. Then I loosely tied the branches down so when they repair it was at a more 30 degree angle. Made sure bend was far enough away from joints.

Each branch that I broke is now insane strong with huge knuckles even having fimmed all over it easily supports the weight.

Depending on strain and size will I will likely always do it. Plant bounched back way stronger.

Hot damn the Canadian dollar is worth more then the us dollar too i believe.. that is crazy guys! That adds in gas too which my stove and dryer run on.. but i dont use them that often. Last month i used 55 kwh every day i guess.. whatever that means, im assuming its a lot though lol. Stop on by anytime moonshine and thanks for the info on supercropping pheno! Depending on the results of those braches, i may do the same and supercrop a few everytime.

What up Toast, I had to go with your idea. I wanted to keep the seedlings and clones under the LED's but it's just too close, I think it was burning them. Anyways, I put the 300 Vipar back into the Magical Mystery Room and bam 1500 watts of Flower Power!!! 600 on either side and 300 in the middle. Good input as always my man!!!! Thanks!

The supercropped branches are responding very well.. especially the biggest one, she is standing straight back up now haha. Glad i got those tote lids! The ib needs watered and the vk got fed yesterday.. might contribute to the branches bouncing back.

Just doing a drive by.. Girls look good, but isn't the object of super cropping is you don't want your plants to stand back up.. Can be scary to super crop some because branches actually snap. I've done it a million time myself, I pinch and roll the stem with my fingers till she loosens up and then I bend them over. I wood hate to tell ya to do it that way for fear of breakages. I don't want to be the blame,, but I prefer not to do it if at all possible. Anytime you kink the food tube there is a restriction. But is a time when that is all you can do...

Thanks thats what i was thinking the whole time norcal.. i had no other choice the other day and they were growing an inch each lights out period. Didnt know i would get the idea for the tote lids the next day at work. Im not happy she stood right back up.. i honestly figured that one was going to. She seemed defiant when i cropped her and didnt droop down as far as the other three. I broke some last grow and learned from that.. plus i had help this time and realized how to actually supercrop them properly. Didn't realize you need to pinch the branch and soften the walls of the branch by pinching them.. now i know! Thanks again guys!

Squeeze all around, then twirl around, will know when soft enough, start bending gradual, big key to avoid snaps is to cradle & support bend point w/ finger tip while same time holding right below bend point, go as far as you want or dare. Finger tip over bend will "tell" you, give feedback. Gradual & slow tempo. This is important & really helps to avoid snaps. Gently rebend again after a few minutes to reinforce. Paper tape is best for any rips/tears that need first aid...breathes & stretches as stem grows. Everyone gets snaps now & then....always hate it. Haha toasted...baked & rambling here. :lot-o-toke:
