Imtoasted's Journey Of Perpetual Bliss

Yea pw i saw that just a second ago.. happy he explained that cause i had been planning to keep the light up higher around 2' like he was talking about. Its 18" away from the lost coast and 30" away from the autos. I need to put a few more boxes under the autos and bring em closer. Thanks for looking out brother!!

Well i woke up this morning at five and it turned back on.. then i woke up again at 7 and it was off lmao. Need to move the timer so the boxes the fan is on doesnt bump into it and screw everything up lol. I dont think one day of the light messing up matters much. Thanks growchy! ...

Pretty plants... If you just have an hour extra lite, it shouldn't hurt them... All strains are different tho. Like my outdoor girls,,, and full moons. I've seen it so bright at night that is was like day time...... GL and Keepem Green

Thanks a lot johnny!!! The flash exposure is on auto and locked.. theres an option for something but i cant change it and it goes from -2 to 0 i think thats it. Hoping she will put on the weight pw. Am gonna need some tips to get rid of the gnats ns cause i do have some.. they arent getting to be a problem but they are there. Got my new fan today. It has a remote. How fucking cool is that lol.

nice pics toast looking good man,i can have a fungus nat problem to i leave the window open in the room and they were coming through the screen so i bought some real fine screen and put it over the existing one that did a lot also a fan blowing rite across the tops of your pots makes it very difficult to get comfortable and watch your watering let them dry out a little more that helps to i have them in there but there not in my pots there just lurking waiting for the rite conditions don't give it to them good luck bud!

I agree they should be fine.

So not to but i wanted to make sure im understanding you guys right...did u mean it wouldnt hurt them this one time or you meant its ok they will continue flowering under 13/11 light? You guys meant the first one yes? Thanks for response to and patience with this ???:thumb:

Yea a brief change in light schedule shouldn't cause then to reveg or Hermie if you catch it quickly. 13-11 for a length of time will cause them to reveg.

Grow question for everybody:

Do the plants stop root expansion and growth when the flower cycle starts because the plant is focused on flower production?

I've noticed some interesting things about rootballs when digging up the dead girls...

Negative. The roots stop growing when the plant is done stretching. As long as your plant is still stretching during flower then your roots are still doing something. Once most hairs and budsitesbhave formed you'll notice the plant slow down. That's happening to the roots too. Figure about 14-21 days into flower and the roots have stopped growing

Ah most strains will flower with 13/11 some will even flower with 14/11 but results vary depending on strains and genetics. I don't like doing 13/11 with that said... My Special Queen generally looks the same bud wise each round. However my 13/11 plant not only took 10-15+ days longer but it was completely covered in white hairs that just didn't not want to turn red/brown and I mean a good 75% more hairs than normal not just a little bit more. It was my largest yielder by far but it was also just my largest veg'd plant in general so I'm not contributing that to 13/11. It went almost 70 days compared to my normal 55-60 days and I didn't want to wait any longer. Went back to 12/12 the next round and my plants started back to normal again. But just look outdoors plants start flowering well before 12 hours daylight.

Thanks dobe! Age i think they grow roots their whole life cycle. Ill have a true test of that here soon once i harvest the skywalker kush. She was repotted 4 weeks into flower and if she has roots at the bottom of her pot then they do grow the whole time. I can see why you guys think they dont but the plant is always growing even if it isnt pushing out new leaves and branches. Neat i get to test that theory.

I've transplanted a girl into a 5 gal bucket right at flip before and trust me the bottom 30-35%+ of the soil was just loose soil with no roots and I was very surprised myself. My girls are also very finkity to being root bound. I definitely agree with the they quit growing early mid flower but of course every plant is different too but I'm very confident my SQ does not grow roots thst late into flower hell people would get root bound systems randomly in late flower. But again every plants different do your experiment and follow up because it could very well end different for you. But now for me I make sure my last transplant is 2 weeks give or take before flower as it gives them time to produce a nice healthy root system going before the flip so by week 3-4 it's nice and full... They may grow small roots slowly who knows but Idk it seems pointless since the plant knows it's never going to veg again and its entering it's flower and needing to focus on survive and reproduction for the limited life span it has left. But that's just my opinion and that's all it is as I have nothing at all to back out up with only the plant u pitted directly at 12/12 and noticed the bottom half had no roots.

That confirms what ive seen recently. I transplant into a 3gln from a 1gln. When i dig out the ball its the same shape and size as the 1 gallon. The plants are healthy so was wondering about the connection. Makes perfect sense!

Yeah I've transplanted in flower before. Doesn't work. Soil ends up empty. Done It indoors and outdoors and various levels of early flower. Never had roots expand after stretch was done. Even if you transplant when they are still stretching roots grow minimal. They tend to thicken up during stretch rather than seak new moisture. Not to say they don't grow. But you'll definitely notice 98% of the root mass will still be up top. If anything branches at all. But I'm all for document experiments toast. And so is everyone else. Don't take my word for it. Try it, post it, and then the whole world can search about it and know that toast says "no roots stretch after flower"

She is an auto flower so it could be different from a regular photo period plant. Id like to make a note of that and will do again when i post the results. Either way she greened up again after being repotted and gave me another week or so until harvest. She was pretty rootbound and i did not disturb the root ball at all except throwing great white on it lol.

I used my plants as stress balls tonight. I feel much better!! ..

Its like a tornado went through there. Really i did that to strengthen their branches and get them to stop stretching so much. Did it last week with the sour lemon og and she liked the abuse. They may not all like it we will see. Damn things are growing like weeds. May have to put the ww auto in the flower tent tomorrow and spread them apart.
