Imtoasted's Journey Of Perpetual Bliss

Thanks so much mr brown that saves me like 30-40 bucks.. great info there. Makes sense too cause i clean out the filter to my fish tank that way and can make a filter last like two years. Thats wonderful it works the same way!

The flower tent isnt organic so yea gotta flush them gals.. all my grows after will be organic. Dont really want to go back to using nutes, i like how my plants in veg are growing with the new soil.. cant wait to flower them out that will be the true test.

Yea im not sure ns i noticed the bubbler may have not been bubbling up that much on that side.. so it could have caused the stem to start rotting from not enough oxygen getting to it. I was told to put the ends of the stems in the water a bit.. the other clone is doing great and the stem isnt rotting at all.

Thanks a lot for the compliments guys.. makes all the hardwork worth it even more!

Hahaha guess i shouldnt have thrown the clone away.. oh well that's good to know if i see it again ill give it more time. Thanks for all your help otm.. much appreciated!!

Yess i cant wait it will be amazing.. tbh the chemdawg and gsc xtrm are both awesome but im most excited about the lost coast ogs terps in that organic soil. Her leaves and stems have a strong lemon smell when you touch them.

The chemdawg is getting some weird gassy funk to her and the gsc xtrm smells like chocolate chip cookies lol.. no lies. I love how they all become special in their own ways!

Toast I use very few nutes a boost every now and then but it seems to me everyone whats to nute them to death. I dont get it, think keep the ph good in good soil works. Maybe the hrydro coco and everything gets mixed up. Which messes with me. We all grow the way we know how but wanting to learn new things about growing to make us better.
happy growing

Everything will start to look shitty, your leaves will start to brown and curl and keep degrading, you will want to throw in the towel, then you will see small nubs forming where yo scraped the stem, in a day they will turn into roots, another day or two thew will be in the water and BAM! things start to look better!:laughtwo:

Few questions on cloning and something i learned.. you dont need cloning gel or aloe or anything. Just a bubbler and water or so i read, we will find out!

Do clones need 24 hours of light or do they like a dark period too? How many times a day should i refill the bag with co2? Two, three? Hope thats enough light for them.. that bag is cloudy. Thanks guys have a great day!

Aloe has growth hormones that promote cell division.. I don't use it very often but it will work. The cloning gells and powders use the same growth hormones but not the organic version... I don't use them at all.

My cloner works with filtered water, but I find cleaning the cloner with bleach + water every month or so makes a huge difference in time to root and success too.

I have my clones under 24/0 lighting.

When taking cuts... it's important to keep your cutting tool clean. I use my trimming tool and clean the blades with isopropyl alky-haul. Angle the cut and be careful not to touch the cut end with anything.... I usually have a glass of water beside me when taking cuts, then cuts go into the glass of water and when I get a chance into the cloner.

Once you have a cut and the end turns brown you can cut the dead part off and try again. When that happens there's an air bubble stuck in the cut end - cut it off... I've got it to take root... remember this is all icing so a few cuts don't make it, no big deal - toss and try again.

But ALWAYS take cuts...you never know when you have a keeper. It's usually the one you don't take cuts from. Can always toss if you have too many.

Much more difficult to get cuts to root after flowering starts. Basically that's re-vegging and not cloning...a PITA.

Edit:
You don't "need" to let the tap root get that long! hahahha you do need to not mess with it just plant that into soil dont trim it. That's the "apical root stem" a very important part of the plant - as important as the main stem above ground (apical meristem).

You don't have to put the cut end in water... the spray onto the cut end is enough. It will get more oxygen that way but you can soak it as well. I've done cuts in a glass without any air or movement. This process takes less time and gets better results . Sometimes I foiler the cuts with a weak solution of water and kelp tea.. that usually kick starts the rooting.

Congrats on your first clone... that's the way to do it! Good job.

I didn't know that about the naming of the root system, and the stem. I had heard apical and tied it to the meaning of asymmetrical because of the growth structure of clones. I did recently make a clone that is very close to symmetrical however one side of the plant seems to be growing much faster than the other. almost like there's a split in the nutes some how.

Thanks for sharing your technique, seems like I've done that a time or two.

Apical: dominant. The plant sends the auxins to the apical or dominant top. When we top and train we are disrupting the apical dominance and sharing it with other parts of the plant. Sometimes you get a wonky one that just does what it wants and doesn't give a shit like an American honey badger. You want me to grow evenly? Psshhhhhhh okay .
Lol that's when you cut her fkn head off and tie her down!

Off with the heads I say.... arrrrrrr Matay!

Yes there's Apical Meristems (above ground) and Root Apical Meristems (under ground). The Apical Root is most important. We can top in VEG and things sort out over time, mess with the root structure and things end up in the compost bin. Notice that the root is like 3 times longer or more than the above soil part of the plant! The plant is getting ready to be a monster. The only limiting factor is the depth/size of the container.

Those big long main roots rrr the money makers.

Always! I go in with a trimmer in each hand and eat the leaves!!!

Hahaha that reminds me of the last trim party I had... One of my friends decided he liked the taste of freshies and by taste... I mean eating ... 1 for me 2 for me.. 1 for me... I cant see! Bro, your eyes are red-crossed.. whaaaat?

So glad you are enjoying the KindSoil Toast! Its such an easy and effort free way of growing! You are going to love the flavor!

Its great stuff thanks to you and johnny for the help there mr stank! Planted an auto without the kindsoil to see the difference.. mix of coco, roots organic and happy frog in that one. Then i mixed another with roots organic, happy frog and a little ocean forest, then a tiny bit of kindsoil that was still attached to the empty bags.

Feeling like im getting sick or maybe just worn out from the work week.. need to get some sleep. Got 'a few' seeds, like 150, in the mail today from a friend.. thanks again 4D!! Ill have seeds for life!

Also got my 420 stickers and lighter from the contest in the mail.. the return address was labeled 420 magazine and then the address... kinda not cool.. someone had poked a hole in the bubble mailer and looked inside. I think im done with the contests, that scared me.

Richfarmers gsc xtrm.. super indica pheno. Big fat fingers on those fan leaves.

Hso chemdawg.. do chemdawg strains grow big colas or more og type nugs?

Fan leaves as big as my hands.. i can palm a basketball. BIG leaves for a 15" plant.
420-magazine-mobile1815815469.jpg

I got the stretchy sativa pheno with my dark devil like pennywise did.. no purple buds this time. I know she still seems small but she is stretching a lot.

Little skywalker hiding in the back.

Almost every night i bend the tops over and tuck back the fan leaves.. no topping or training needed. Cant wait to see what they yield with minimal training.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.. will be expanding my grow room next week. So i cant wait for it to get over with!! Can anyone come over and give me a hand moving my dresser out of my bedroom?? That 5x5 is gonna take up some room..

Ummm. WOW! So you took the plunge and doubled your gear. I think you're in it for life there...hahahahaha

I love how fat those indica leaves are on those RichFarmers' strain, wow, those fans are top notch for sure. I can see the leaves are working hard. That is girl scout cookies and afghan kush? Smart smart even smarter. See that's what I have to learn, work hard at 2 strains that are worth it. That is my goal right there. Awesome job there Toasty.

We dropped seeds at the same time...;) I hope that skywalker kush is out of this world.

You really got your environment dialed in, why wouldn't you want to duplicate that with a second tent. shhh

You should be proud...

Congratulations on winning and being the best you...
