Imtoasted's Journey Of Perpetual Bliss

Yea licorice would be iffy i think

The Durban Poison supposedly can have a licorice smell to it, anise to be specific, but I don't pick up any of that in my pheno. Mine has a floral smell to it.....smells really nice.

I like it when buds smell like flowers but i dont like the taste of it.. kinda lacks in the high department for me too. The flowery smelling buds ive smoked dont really get me that high. Need some white widow to change my opinion on that lol.

That would be interesting to see if the taste infused into the oil.. my guess is that it wouldnt. The oils i made dont taste any different. I dont like garlic except for in siracha sauce so count me out on that one lol. Garlic and onions.. yuckkk!

Hey johnny things are going well in both tents so not too many complaints. Just have one question for yall.. whats up with these leaves on slurry? I was waiting to see if they would stop looking like this but they havent. Its just the ones in the middle of the plant that are all congested.. so maybe rh is too high? Hmm..

I have 10 Durbans coming from CKS, looking forward to doing those.

Those yellowing and curling leaves may be the sign of a build-up in your soil, kind of like over-fertilizing a lawn and it starts to burn the bottom and work its way up. How are the temps & RH in the tent?

Instead of cupping up they are cupping down or twisting but really don't look like wilting or thirsty leaves...maybe give her a flush and see how she responds, she may be nute sensitive and needs more attention than the rest...kind of like some ladies I know!:laughtwo:

Hope all is going well Toasty - definitely act fast if the issue spreads any more, other than that it looks good

They are in a ff of and happy frog mix with perlite johnny.. thank you otm. Rh and temps are good.. i have a dehumidifier so rh never gets above 50-55. Normally is 40 during lights on and 50 lights off.. temps are 75-79 lights on and 66-70 lights off.

Ill have to try flushing cause feeding more isnt helping any.. ive upped their feedings and slurry is showing more issues. A couple of her tops are purpling up now and the yellowing is getting worse.. not sure if the purple tops are an issue though.

Ill have to take some more pics tomorrow, lights are off now. I noticed the issue spreads if i take off those bad leaves. So i just leave em on and the ones above the bottom yellowing ones seem to take way longer to be affected. Spreads like wildfire if i keep taking them off.

Happened last grow too.. i think its an issue with nute build up and not flushing properly at the right times. Thanks a lot guys i appreciate the help! You rock otm!!

I would give them all a good flush, your soil will have plenty of nutes for the roots to feed on and at worst it will only delay your harvest a week or so.

Your buds look good so I don't think a flush will affect your yield anymore than what the yellowing bottom leaves have done already, it may take a flush, a lighter nute feeding and another flush to get them back on track...just keep your eye concentrated on the tops, the color and health there will keep you informed.:thumb:

I'm a firm believer in leaving lower leaves. I'll prune here and there. However the lower ones are the ones that the plant is eating to get what it needs (if and when a deficiency occurs). So if your remove them it starts eating another one of its body parts for what it can't get sub surface. Picking them only causes the problem to spread. Or at least That's kinda my thinking lol. So I totally agree with ya on that one toast!

I agree with what you are saying, I always considered the lower leaves as a sign to the total health of the plant when I was growing outdoors, indoors I don't think that applies as much because of the environment they are in.

If a leaf is showing signs of ill health, I will monitor it like I do the new/top growth but when it is 50-60% yellow, it gets pinched off and I start watching the leaves above or below it.

I try to keep as many large healthy looking fans on the plant as I can because they are a food source for the upper plant, but if they have a disease or deficiency affecting 50+% of that leaf I will pinch it off rather than have it fall off on its own and possibly spread upwards.

I have a hard time when it is time to defoliate! :hmmmm:

I feel you on the defoliating. It's very hard for me to take perfectly healthy growth off my girls. I've heard many opinions on this but I feel it's all up to the grower and their environment. I like bushy plants in veg and after that you can defoliate to open up budsites imo.

The black licorice taste is only good in a sambuca coffee lol. Your little buds are frosting up nicely already, sweet! They're looking full for only two weeks in dude, fat colas are in your future!

Or if your already drunk and ran out of booze lol ....

Goodmorning Toasty, have an awesome thursday buddy!
