I'm ready to step up to the plate: new grow

They are just under a week old. Or today they are 7 days old there 7th day of light will start in just over 3 1/2 hours from now. Can I have the light that close this early? I have 2 scorpion rspec waiting.. I was nervous to start them under them would of used one for now but still nervous. I ended up starting way later than I planned so I didn't want any screw ups. I used the formula for cfl or cfl whatever it's called to determine what size fan to get for my big tent with the 2 lights the number I got they recommend Ed the t8 cloudline.. I haven't needed to use that tent so I haven't set it up yet... I was gonna use it on low power for an intake temporarily I pulled the carbon filter out and it's at least twice the size of the t6s filter the thing is huge. I'm still gonna use it till I get a smaller one for the intake. I wasn't gonna get one originally but now I am.. I'm really pissed off I bought gorilla tents thinking I would have no problem with light leaks but when the lights are on I can see a few spots outside were I can see the light. Before I started I sat in the tent my girl zipped it up and she shined a work light at it... I didn't see anything really a few spots when she went like an inch close but that being said even when I could see the light it didn't light up inside the tent. It was one of the craziest feelings in the world. I put my hand in front of my face and I couldn't see a dam thing. The hood of the light or whatever it's called the reflector or whatever... LoL... It reflects so much I could see it but like I said I couldn't see my hand in front of me. And even though I could see the reflection from the hood I put my hand in between me and the hood and I couldn't see the outline of my hand it didn't block out anything it was trippy.... I still seen the whole hood fuckin nuts man... Anyway that said I'm still worried about the tent seeing the light from outside the tent... And I haven't even tested the big tent yet... And while putting it together I seen light come through 3 little pin holes were they stitched the Velcro.... Think about the feeling I had with the time and effort of putting the tent up seeing that before it was even all put together... right now I'm hoping when I go inside the tent and test it no light will come in we will see..

Wow a short book had to sign in to post it just doubled checked if it went through wooo... Wait for my journal.... Lol

Yes a T5 fluorescent or curly compact fluorescent light bulb can be put quite close since they don’t generate much light or heat. Sucks about the tent, I’ve got a cheapie vivosun or ipower forget which brand and it had a bunch of pinholes which I sealed with black fingernail polish. It helps if you can put the tent in a dark room having no windows or black out the window.

With your humidity yeah look at your temps. IF you're in say 70F at the canopy you have a wide range of rH that works fine.

As mentioned look to a VPD chart its easier to get your temps right.

Dont forget that plants have the ability by moving leaves at different angles to the light/heat source to create a micro-climate at the leaf surface which is different than the room. So best to get the room close enough temp wise, the plant will do the rest. Just keep your fan leaves.

I think you're overthinking this some.

Seedlings are the hard part - all you gotta do is get them past the seedling phase and harden them off without over or under watering. Then start dealing with your over thinking issue.

I bought gorilla tents so I wouldn't have this problem too... I lowered my light yesterday and in about 3 to 4 hours most of the plants were reaching for the sky they looked great.. the only problem I had was controlling the temp and humidity. I was told to move my thermometer and hygrometer at the canopy level. I put it on the table and I was getting way to high temps.. because of that I raised the light... It's only been about 12 hours now actually 13 hours and the lights were off for 6 of them.. but now some of the best ones I had there leaves are starting to lower... Now I don't know if it's because I raised the light or the temp, or the humidity... Or maybe even it's because I gotta transplant them now.... This sucks

At what point do you transplant? And when you do do you transplant all of them or only the ones you think are ready? They are 10 days old... Some look like they need it others don't though.. what do you think

Might help to see a pic of what you’ve got there!

How much should I be watering them now... I germinated that in paper towels for 2 to 3 days I planted them on May 20 it was late though so pretty much May 21. I'm scared as hell to over water them and I read that I should use a spray bottle at this stage.. they look great to me some are bigger than others and there are a couple smaller ones.. But I'm thinking it's just probability with that.. they are getting pretty much the same of everything. The thing is when I spray them even if I spray 20 30 times it

They look to be in really good shape! So transplant is bad for auto flower plants it can stunt them so it’s best to start them in large final container but then it’s important to learn how to water a small plant in a large final container. For photoperiods they can be upcanned multiple times if necessary with no problems. Generally speaking when the leaves extend out beyond the edges of the cup then it’s time to upcan. Helps to wait for soil to dry out so the rootball stays intact. Another thing that helps is to learn to hold the plant upside down and support the top of the soil that surrounds the seedling so it doesn’t fall out of your hands and to slip the solo cup off to inspect the roots.

you don’t have to transplant them all at once, they do grow at different rates
