ICE Strain Grown in FFOF Soil with CFL Lights

Thank you for checking that for me. :thanks: Ive seen them and always wondered. Could you freeze a couple .5 liter bottles and set them in front of the intake? I know it would be a pain to do it everyday, because I do it alost everyday! I am digging your grow. Especially the thought procceses behind the grow. I find problem solving fun. Even when I throw out a stupid idea, if it sparks a better one, I consider that a success!

Spimp I have a bottle freezing, working on a 2 liter option. Not sure of placement yet.

when i recommended an exhaust placed just beneath the Plexiglas i was also looking to encourage a cross flow for your plants through your grow cabinet. i would re position the intake fan you have with it placed just below the Plexiglas blowing warm air from you box and exhausting.

KingJohnC So I changed my fan placement. Nailed a 2 foot board across the top so I could clip a fan to it. Seems to be working OK. The top canopy definitely gets more air blowing around and I noticed increased aroma, fragrances and smells from the buds.

Pics coming tonight

Changed fan placement and added a frozen bottle of water. Room is 93 degrees, Flower box is 84 degrees. Will see if the frozen water bottle makes any difference.

Also placed a thermometer above the glass to see how hot it gets up there compared to below.

Plain water today (*Probably should have check the runoff PH but I didn't*)

until next time...

Looking good sir. I dont see any new yellowing. I think to ice will help.Very good idea to see the temp difference between glass and no glass. More info to draw from. I really enjoy how the ice buds look.
:bravo:

Yes. I would say the ICE plants are looking much better *pretty* was the word I said to myself when I check on them today. They have a very nice green color now at the top and no change in the yellowing that I can tell.

The frozen water bottle didn't make any difference in temps. I need to move it in front of the intake fan and I bet that will move the cooler air around better.

It was 98 degrees above the glass and remained 84 at the floor. I definitely think the glass helps shield some heat and keep it off the plants. If I wanted to be exact I should place a thermometer midway to check temps just above the canopy... maybe I will do this.

I will refreeze the bottle and place it in front of the intake and report back. :)

everything looks great here, its definitely a unique growing style that you have and a very interesting read at that im subbed up nice job

Welcome aboard! and :thanks: frostyMJbudEC

Today I watered with plain water for the ICE and Northern light. Two of the ICE had a PH in the orange (5.0 range) so I flushed with a little extra water until it was in the 6.5'ish range.

My Snow White was bone dry. All the fan leaves hanging straight down. Watered and then added FF 1.0 oz. grow big, 1.0 oz. tiger bloom and 1.5 oz. big bloom per 1 gallon of water with about 18 oz. of runoff for a 1 gallon pot... checked in around 6.5'ish PH.

**I figured out that 1/2 tsp. of PH UP added to the above mix checks in around 6.5'ish. Results for you may vary depending on your water PH.

Plain water for the Snow White. ICE and Northern Light: Watered and then topped off with the FF Flower formula.
FF 1.0 oz. grow big, 1.0 oz. tiger bloom and 1.5 oz. big bloom per 1 gallon of water

Done with Nutes for the week. Only pain water until Sunday. Will up date with pictures then.

See ya Sunday

P.S.

Wanted to add that I had around 48 oz. of runoff water from the 4 plants in 24 oz. cups. That is roughly 50% runoff water. 48 / 96 = 50% Seems like a lot of runoff but that's what it took to get the PH's where I wanted them.

Just plain water for 4 days. Gave the Snow white a shot of Cal/Mag once about 3 days ago. I think it has a slight Mag deficiency.
Watered and gave all 1/2 strength FF flower nutes: 1.0 oz. grow big, 1.0 oz. tiger bloom and 1.5 oz. big bloom per 1 gallon of water.

Those look fantastc! :bravo: That snow white may be my favorite.. or the runt. :)
+reps sir!

Yes Sir! That Snow White is looking fantastic! So many buds popping out everywhere! She probably has another 30 days to go. Hope none of the branches break. :yikes:

Watered today with plain water. Then gave each a few ounces of unsulphured molasses with added microbes (Thrive) premixed with a gallon of water (Around 1 capful of molasses and an ounce of thrive). This is only the second time I have given molasses this grow.

Mixed up some FF flower nutes for tomorrow. 1/2 the recommended dose which turns out to be: Big Bloom 1.5 tsp. and Tiger Bloom 1.0 tsp. per gallon of water. Initial PH was 4.0 (red color). Added 1 tsp. of PH up which brought the PH up to around 6.5

I will recheck it tomorrow before I water them with it.

Ice is listed as a High plant. In THC and stature. Gotta check out how this comes out. Maybe I'll have the nuts to grow a high plant.
Me thinks that is why you used the smaller pots. Short pots, short plants.

I do believe the small pots keep the plants small. But my main reason for growing in small pots is that the only space for growing was small. I am experimenting with a 1 gallon pot for the Snow White plant.

Also a lot of old post suggest that ICE is a 4 way cross and some of them are more sativa so they end up taller and also that there are a lot of inconsistences with the genetics. But basically it is suppose to be 50/50 indica sativa from what I understand.

My ICE seem to be more indica dominate and thus shorter and to me seem very stable.

I did not water on 7/2. All the pots were heavy.

I rechecked the PH of my flower nutes. 6.8? maybe 7.0 best estimation (Yellow with a slight tinge of green). Definitely not the dirty yellow I call 6.5 which is what they were when I initially mixed it up.

Watered and then added the Flower nutes today. All looking good. Will update with pics on Sunday

Later

I was a little bored so I took some picks. Looks to me like the Snow White nugs fattened up over night.

The ICE have a very lime type color green in the buds that stand out against the darker sugar leaves.
