Hyena's Never-Ending Adventures In Growing

Happy Friday! Hope yours is going great!

Project 26 is on its way! Here's how our new family of amazing girls looks...

LOTS of healthy little friends! The ultra-lazy method has worked! Seriously, I can't believe how nice they look without any of the screwing around I have always done with seeds and germination. A tribute to Seedsman and Crop King because their seeds all went BOOM without any soaking or special treatment.

Let's see who we have...

Even the little Holy Grail gal that looked like she wouldn't make it is starting to grow...ahhh, nature! It finds a way!

Temps, pH, nutes, everything perfect. It's like I always dreamed. Growing fantastic dank made easy!

We wait and watch. See you soon.

Peace, Hyena

Looks awesome! I noticed you have the feeder hoses cut to length. Would you say the ball valves are all roughly in the same position or are the longer runs more/less open than the others?

Ummmm...it varies, but I know I was able to twiddle them all until I was getting about the same flow from each which was the idea so the method works great.

Peace, Hyena

Looks loke you got 100 percent on your new way of popping girls!! Its gonna be a jungle this run. M really interested in the two per bucket grow!! This is gonna b a fun one to watch which all of ur journals/chapters have been a real treat to the community!! Glad to have u bro!!

Hey Hyena, Thanks for the great pages here. I have to tell you that out of need to prolong veg., I used your method and have 4 beautiful girls just killing it in spite of myself as a first time photo grower. WooHoo!

Thank you StoneOtter and welcome!

Glad anything I rant about helps someone...sometimes something I say makes sense...but not that often.

Don't be a stranger, and post some pics! Let's see them!

Peace, Hyena

Hey Hyena, for summer grows have you thought about strains that are natively from hotter grow zones? Maybe Maui Wowi or Durban Poison genetics?

Yes, but most of my genetics are 80% sativa-dominant so I'm not sure...I believe there's an upper limit and that's about in the low-mid 80s.

Sustained temps over 90+ resulted in tasteless weed, even though it was potent. Also a HUGE difference in the bud structure and the frostiness of the plants.

So I have learned you can grow weed in high temps, but you have to keep it under 80 if you want it to look and taste good.

Peace, Hyena

Hey Stoneotter, sweet canopy! Did you scrog it and then yo-yo vertical supports? What methods did you borrow from Hyena? Hope you don't mind my asking. Beginner questions I know. .

Hey cheesewedge, I used heavy defoliation during the whole veg flower cycles. The string holding them up is some waxed string and they contact the stem with rubber coated wire that I forget the name of. The waxed string really makes for an easy attachment to the tent frame.
My first use of the method and photo's too. 2 auto grows before this. Always trying to improve. I'm having tons of fun!

The bud structure did look really odd, almost like they came out of a 3D printer. Be interesting to see if anyone could explain what makes that occur exactly.

I am convinced the sustained temps of 90+ caused that...it's like the plants were trying to elongate and grow in a way that would help them survive the heat, longer, thinner colas where each bud is comprised of "strands" instead of bulking.

It's very stony weed but it tastes like crap. I basically threw two pounds in the trash.

Oh well, you live and learn! The next round will be a lot better!

Peace, Hyena
