Hydro DWC help

So I don't know if you read through the active journal I pointed you at where I explain all of this stuff in detail but now that you are out of the weeds go give it a read.

A healthy res needs no real maintenance. I can go over a month easy without a res change. I have a good buddy who does quick grows and never does a res change. Just top of and adjust.

With your small res it will be difficult. So I wouldn't just pretend all is fixed. Continue to learn and build a better mouse trap.

I don't really understand. A pic would really do well here. But no. I can go over a month on a res and everything looks great and smells great.

But I do a living res so all that stuff is taken care of for me. Plus I make my own bacterial tea so it is strong and bad to the bone. Makes the grow much easier.

For a your setup brewing your own stuff is a bit overkill. I have a smaller recipe that is for like 4 -6 plants and you are running like 1?

Check out this thread. At the very end there is a recipe I have gotten lots of people on here to use. They swear by it. it has saved many grows that no amount of chemicals and chillers could fix. On lady had extra and threw it on some clones and then like a week later she noticed all those were way stronger and healthier. You should add Bat guano to make it fully complete but I usually avoid it as most of it is harvested in a unsustainable way that is bad on the environment...but that wont stop them so whateves.

Done correctly that tea has everything the plant needs.

But since you have such a small grow maybe grab some Orca and an enzyme product. be sure that when you add stuff like that to the system that you pour it through the medium . don't just dump it in the res. get a measuring cup and scoop out some res water. add the amount for the whole res and then pour it through the net pot to get the microbes and enzymes right where they belong.

Well it is all about a balanced system. Everything really matters.

So for example if it is really too high you have the net pot in the res and then the base roots are not getting dry. that can kill the plant in the worst case but may cause rot. probably not if you have a good air stone and it is only temporary. But you are asking can it, well these are things that could happen.

But in the end this kinda goes back to the res size I was talking about originally. Having more water and having a large grow room makes things easier. It is easier to manage temps and humidity in a larger room. It is easier to manage pH and PPM in a larger res.the smaller the res the less it takes of something to cause it to shift whatever that something is.

I would never let it go below 3 gallons per plant in DWC. One thing that would help would be a dual bucket system. That way you have twice the solution. get a pump and run the spare bucket solution into the top with aero sprayers in the the net pot and have the site bucket gravity return. I am doing something like that on my next build.

Good morning y'all, well here's why I asked village, you know I've been battling ph. Well after looking at my old marks, and looking at the water level right now that is a inch below my need Mark. Alright here is what I think is happening. These marks are from when it was a baby seedling so it's a half inch on the net pot for good, and at the bottom of the net pot for need, well when I topped off the other day I put it right at the need, well the next day and today I havnt touched the p.h. and tomorrow will start my next 2 nd week in flowering. I tell you what next time around, bigger res for sure, man I'm going to try finish this one like she is, I know I have to he here all the time, but hey I don't mind it. The next thing I'm going to try would be those hempy buckets, to me it just about sounds like coco but I'm going to use the vermiculite instead

after the roots hit the res you don't want the res water getting up to the net pot anymore. The air stone and pump should be strong enough to get drops to the lid let alone the basket to keep it moist. Once there are so many roots that it doesn't happen it doesn't matter.

But yes that can cause issues having the medium sitting in the res full time.

Hey I'm back sorry for no pics yet, lol but here is the update
Bigger res and this time around I didn't add the floralicious plus but now I'm getting a white foam in the res, my water ranges from 67-72 and it a 72-78 room temp, and it a on the 2nd week of flowering so the newest Nute is koolbloom. It don't have any funny smell either so I don't know what the foam is

If it is a femd seed give it time it may come back around.

Maybe you learned a few things and next grow will benefit from this one.

:peace:

It happens bro. My last go around i started with 6 plants. 2 got root rot, 2 where straight up males and 2 were autos that i didnt know were autos and i topped and trained and supercropped so they stunted and hermied. Learning experience. Brush it off and try try again. No more bagseeds for me tho lol. See you around again i hope.
