I have to say I'm not fond of the taste of the CBD oil now that I've swished it around in my mouth for a while. Are we sure I can't just take capsules?

Do you find it spicy? I eat fresh buds all the time when I'm harvesting and if they are spicy (the lingering mouth biting sting) then I know they have some CBD or Caryophyllene in them. Both are quite spicy to me.

Highya Neiko,

I found the same thing with raw buds. I think the spicy flavor comes from the acid in the cannabis (THCa). After I decarbed a batch, it changed the whole flavor, toned it all down a lot. I can see why chocolate coated decarbed buds would be a hit! If i do that, I'll get too fat. Can't have that! Cheers

Btw, Highya Amy,

I hope everything is warm in your world. How doth your garden grow? Cheers

I find the same taste in my oil as well. When I would tack the CBD oil to my gums the burning would go on for what seemed like forever. It's kind of an acquired taste, I don't mind all that much anymore if I know it's coming.

I'm not a huge fan of the taste either, that is why we generally just do gummies. They at least get a bit more time in the mouth while chewing. Ultimately, I know I'm losing effectiveness by swallowing them straight away, so I just take 3 gummies instead of 1.
Not the most efficient fix, but it seems to be working.

Here's a cool article i read recently about Cannabinoid absorption...
Decent article

Update: Bubba Hash (day 13) Candida CD-1 (day 12)

Hi all - hope everyone’s weekend is wonderful and relaxing. Mine was!
Both seedlings are coming along really well :ganjamon:

I’m amazed at the difference between them in size. Not growth so much, they’re a day apart and aren’t too different in development, just the Bubba is huge! Huge leaves  I’m super happy with how lush its looking, leaves are juicy and velvety.

I haven’t shown much of the setup, so here they are looking small, well, young anyway, in the middle of a lot of light!

And the bits of equipment around the place to keep the environs in check. At this angle you can really see the different size of their leaves!

Speaking of environment ...

Lights-off time is stable here:

And lights-on is fairly stable here. Sometimes it gets down to 75º if it’s a cold night outside, and occasionally hits 80º.

Candida CD-1 is at 12 days. At the moment, I think it looks quite different to the first one I grew. I’d go so far as to speculate this is the broad-leaved pheno (what the breeder calls the ‘indica’ pheno). Time will tell. I know for sure that the first one I grew was the ‘sativa’ leaning pheno - it was beautifully thin leaved and delicate and made buds to match. I’ll have to go back and have an actual look at that one at this stage. These shapes may change as it grows up :)

Looking nice up close from the side too.

Bubba Hash - is PHAT! :D

And busy sprouting side shoots already :ganjamon:

I hope the colouration on the stem and petioles is genetic :hmmmm: If its not, I dunno what is causing it. The environment is close to perfect and it seems perfectly healthy otherwise. No doubt a Bubba experienced person will be along and set me straight.

I don’t usually include a critter of the week on the indoor grow - outside, critters are part of the growing. Indoors, we don’t really want them at all do we!? But this one imposed itself during garening activities so it gets a gurnsey ;) It was quite a small one, and thankfully it was dead already when i picked it up thinking it was a bit of fluff on the floor  Needless to say I threw it down again pretty quickly!

I’d been shifting some boxes with my carer earlier in the day so it must have been under them. We dont often get crawlies inside, we’re well sealed against them. But we are in a forest and they’re everywhere out there. Bound to see one every now and then - it’s a bonus if they’re small and dead already :laughtwo:
So there we are at the end of week 2 since sprout. Everything works, so far, so good :circle-of-love:
