How to Make Feminized Seeds With Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro LED

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

Hey Toker69, I have two 1 gram ingots of silver and everything else needed except some silver wire. Waiting for delivery from thE bay. I just want the ingots deeper in the DH2O with the wire so I don't get the alligator clips in there too. Also got to start a new grow. Get a bunch of auto seeds.

Yeah for autos you need to make seeds for sure. I don't think you need to use the ingots tho. You just use the silver wire. :)

the hbd looks aweeeeesome!!!! good work toke!! :rocker:

Thanks dude! The colloidal silver HBD feminized seeds are whats really awesome! :allgood:

Hey Toker!!! Whats up man! Hey, I had a question and was wondering if you or any other breeders here could answer it for me. I'm new to making feminized seeds and I am at the point when I am about ready to flip my plants.... Now you may have answered this in your journal, but I just don't have the time to seek out the answer, not lazy, just busy, so was hoping you could help me out...

My question..

If I have both my female plants and my female soon-to-be male plants in the same tent, can I flip them to 12/12 at the same time. I read that it takes about 21 days for pollen sacks to form, and about another week to few weeks for the pollen to be ready. So this would bring me to about day 30-35 from the flip. Now if I also flip the females at the same time,(the ones I will be pollinating) Will they be ready to pollinate around day 30-35 of flowering, with enough time to finish the seeds? (usually they run 67-75 days).

Also, has anyone come up with a good way to do both plants, CS sprayed and females in the same tent without cross pollenation? Like a bag or something over the males?

I have 8 plants or 4 pairs in a tent, but each pair is a different strain. Any way to do this without cross pollenation? I will be cutting all the branches off the girls that will be getting the CS, except 1 main stem to minimize pollen going everywhere. I also took out my circulation fan so there is very little breeze in the tent other than slow air replacement. ...should I be worried? anything I can do to help prevent cross pollination?

My whole project is based on doing my strains one at a time to resolve that issue.

So I'd say it's not that it can't be done, but it takes a lot of planning, and resources.

(Isolation chambers, hepa filters, plastic gowns, gloves, and such)

Each plant producing pollen must be isolated to prevent contamination,

but plants receiving pollen can be water sprayed before safely returning them to your space.

Also it seemed like you were asking about timing of the Colloidal Silver, and the females receiving it's pollen.

Some growers do wait to flower a week, or two later than the Colloidal Silver sprayed plant.

But it still works out fine if the two are the same stage. The buds may be past ripe at finish tho.

C-5-AUTO.png

The C5 auto is healthy, and growing slowly.

The second C5 sprout died 2 days after breaking soil.

If this sprout is male I'll make regular autoflower cross seed.

If it's female I'll try a Colloidal Silver self pollination, and make female seeds.

Less than 2 weeks to go!

And then it will be female seeds seeds seeds!

Me, and my Intelligent Gro LED with hundreds of females like these. :slide:

Toker, is it possible to FIM an auto?

I never really do, but after I've got all the seeds I want I'll be giving it a try.

LST is a safe bet with auto's, but I don't do much of that either. :)

Re: How to Make Feminized Seeds with Colloidal Silver - Sponsored by Intelligent-Gro

you don't want to give any stress to an auto fim is not one of the things you would do on an auto you
don't want it to waste time trying to heal its an auto flower you might take up some of its flowering time
and end up with smaller buds
lst is great for it you don't wanna use any high stress techniques
Hey Toker been tired everyday from work so I tried to do my subs last night and didn't get half way when I passed out lol

I agree 100% in the theory, but I'm not going to be feeling so cautious when I've got seeds to burn.

I'm planning on testing the many things you hear but never try because of the high cost of seeds.

Fimming, topping, defoliating, and LST I'm going to try it all. :)
