no, my goal is to not smoke soaking wet 62% buds lol, idk how y'all do it, it sticks to the grinder like glue, and when you hit it from a bong it hurts my lungs, where as 40-45% it wayyyy smoother and easier to grind.
need more reasons? good luck getting any kief from 62% weed

wait hold up, if my room RH is 50, technically it's impossible to dry it more than 50 rh even with a fan, am i wrong?

While I admit I like my humidity a bit lower, I’m more like 59 rather than 62.
At 50 though, it’s way too low and will turn to tasteless dust over time.
If you want to dry and smoke your weed in the same week, 62% curing is probably not for you.
Mid 50s is dry as a bone and will get you all the keif you want without hurting taste that much. But take it into the 30s and you’ll have a hard time finding anyone who agrees that’s gonna smoke/taste right.

Pretty sure that dry, crunchy bud is going to be more harsh to smoke. But back to your question, maybe put the buds in a small space with some damp rids or cheap dehumidifier?
I bought a little 16oz dehumidifier from the internet for like $35 that's good for a small space like a cabinet or small closet.

Or if you're that bent on dry bud (damned the taste) just put it in the oven at like 120°F for an hour or two and you'll be set
Damn I wish we could trade our problems lol My dry ass state sucks for drying I have to add a humidifier in my drying room or my buds will be bone dry bud fossils in 24-48 hours.

Right? Any of the bud i tried while visiting CO regardless of strain, dispensary, city, etc was so dry it was like sucking a campfire into my lungs!
I bet no body warned you about that
so true. I should have stocks in integra boost and boveda packs! I have cases of them at all times lol. I even pre roll a few and put them into a zip with a 62% pack to keep them from turning into saw dust kush sticks.- Thread starter

my weed is already cured, it's been curing for 4 months at 62%, now i just wanna lower it as i'm smoking each jar
i talked to this dude a few months back, he worked for many years at a place where they grow weed high quality weed (like a dispensary in the USor something) he told me he likes his buds at 25% humidity, which seems absolutely exessive for me.
i feel like 40-45 is a good middle ground

why does everyone say that? for me it's the complete opposite! it tastes much much harsher at 62 than say, 50, i tested this with multiple different strains (after the weed had been curing for at least a month at 60-62%)
when it's around 60, when i take a rip, my lungs burn like HELL, my entire chest and throat hurts for like 15 seconds after the hit, and it's a really sharp and annoying pain, followed by cuffing
right now i'm smoking bud that's at 48%, and the pain in the lungs is very faint almost nothing. maybe it's the humidity going to the lungs? IDK, i have no idea why it happens, all i know is that i like it more like this

i don't wanna speed dry it on the sun or oven, it's gonna degrade the THC
but i also don't wanna leave it drying for too long because it will lose the smell, i'm gonna try the fan trick like the other guy suggested

this is so confusing for me, does your weed grind well at 62? i literally have to use a toothpick to get it out of the grinder because it feels soaking wet lolI bet no body warned you about that

You may be confusing relative humidity with bud moisture content. Ideal bud moisture content is10-15%, Higher than that and I'll wager you're much higher, is where the soaking wet feel comes about.. The 62% Rh in your cure jars is to maintain that 10-15% bud moisture content and prevent further drying. Let it dry at it's own pace. Sample every few days and when it's smooth as silk, that's your 10-15% bud/flower moisture content.
