How to clean/sterilize hydroton for reuse

The issue is hydroton holds moisture which will contain the bleach. Too much bleach and it will kill your plants. Corey said the H202 will more then sterilize the hydroton and after the 24 hr soak I give it the H202 basically becomes inert.
Too much DM Zone will also kill your plants so tread carefully with that stuff

Had not thought about residual chlorine remaining in the rocks, but I do rinse pretty thoroughly, both in the bathtub and again in the system. I think DM Zone is a chlorine based product, so it makes sense too much could be a bad thing.
