How many plants can I grow in one pot

A good point was made to me on another board. If you go progressively a bit larger each transplant, the root ball will more efficiently use the space it has. Jumping straight to a huge 5 gallon is nuts. I have never grown in a pot that big and I've known a lot of growers more impressive than I am who never have either. That much soil is just not necessary unless you're growing closet monsters. If you're a new grower and try to grow monsters, you're being foolish.

how long ago did you transplant?

No worries,
it may take them a week or better to start growing again.
As long as they are not wilted you are good to go.
If you had screwed up they would have wilted within the first few hours after transplanting.

Wilted meaning? the guy that I think I snapped half I went to water him today an just bent over is my baby said an done

No offense Crower, but I think you're being overly ambitious here. I have had up to 16 square feet of grow space and now I've cut it back to 2 square feet. 1 square foot that produces something is better than 100 that don't.

Success is measured in a lot of ways. Finishing at all is one measure, good product is another, consistent product is another. With a smaller grow you will have a lot easier time learning these things without epic challenges to overcome while learning. This business can get to be a lot of work with all the trimming, training, pruning, planning, etc. that goes into it. Not to mention all the setup challenges.

Lots of people start doing this thinking they will make bank, but you won't make anywhere near what you hope you will, nobody ever seems to. I wanted a product that is consistent, easy to manage, and is efficiently produced in the space. This is why I scaled everything down so much. 6 years since I started and always the grows I have set up for others do better than mine did because I was trying to be a bigtime grower without having the money to be able to throw at it even though my knowledge grew a lot. I have a couple of 250W HPS lights sitting around and I would still take my fluorescent setup over them any day. Less heat, more uniform light, more efficient ballasts, etc.. Not knocking HPS, but rather making a point about challenges.

Look up the user "RageMonkey" and what he's done with his Phototron to get an idea what I am talking about.
