How do I determine a female sex plant from a male?

People clone for sex but both the clone and mother will not show sex until the same time so its pointless unless you want to get clones going before you have them sexed so when they show you all ready have her cloned.

Yeah, I thought about that. I'll just force them first to determine the sex, toss the males out, then put them back in veg. Once I know who is female, then I'll take two and make a batch of feminized seeds, then half of what is left will be grown to flower and the other half will be cloned out. Hoping out of the 16 I get 8-10 females.

Male plants tend to be taller earlier and have leaves that look less symmetrical or more uneven than females.Females tend to have shorter internode length with crossing leaf spurs.Or more compact growth.

I definitely have 4 or 5 that are 25 percent taller than the rest, I'll keep an eye on them and look at the shorter ones a little closer. Thanks!

Here is what I discovered the other day in my garden! 2 out of 11 are male! Leaves me, 9 beautiful females! Not bad at all! But any time you see these little sacks forming, get it out of there! Well of course unless your a seed salesman, then by all means, leave it! LMAO!!!!

Thank you, that does help. I found some short onion shaped preflowers on my one plant and I just assumed that it was a male but it's getting pistils now. What do you think?

Thats a good question there! It looks like a bulb (flower) growing! I had what I thought for a few days was a female, then suddenly it wwwas a male!! Is this an Indoor or Outdoor grow and was there any other males you found that had been there for a few days without you knowing??

My problem is I have 2 autos with it about 14-21 days behind so I’m hoping we’ll I’m trying too get the autos harvested and then flip the photo I’ve topped it 3 times now just trying too slow it down while they finish and fill the shit out of the tent with that one plant just dunno if I’m wasting my time the more I read and see it’s looking like a female tho

I have never seen a Male Auto Flower. I can't see a Breeder wasting time Breeding Auto Flower Regs. Now topping an Auto 3 times might cause it to Hermie on you. Not suppose to top Auto's after 3 weeks. How old is the plant ? If it's 5 weeks old & not Flowering it's probably not an Auto. By week 5 there should be pistils or balls ... one of the 2. Are you running your lights on at least 18 / 6 ? That's about the minimum hours of light for an Auto from seed to harvest. There is NO 12/12 with Auto's. I can't see pistils or balls on your plants. Not sure how old they are to know if you should be seeing anything. But if they are 5 weeks old or more .... put your lights on 12/12 because those aren't Auto's. Then you'll know within 2 weeks if it's Male or Female.

Are you wanting to find out if the Photo plant is Male or Female ? If so, cut off a small branch with 3 - 4 nodes & put it in water about 2" deep. Stick it in a cabinet with a 2700 K CFL on it on 12/12 & you'll know soon. This is how I find my Males before I start Flowering the actual plants when I grow Reg Seeds.
The branch will also grow roots so plant it if it's female & it will grow a nice Bud on it.

No no I explained this all wrong lol I have too autos aswell as a photo on the go in the same tent and the photo is 14-21 days in front of the autos the autos are 15 days old and I topped them both a few days ago cause I thought best too donit early as poss as they don’t beg for long I hope this helps so what I’m saying is I wanna harvest the autos and then flip the photo when the autos are done so the photo would b anywhere from 14-17 weeks do u get me??
