Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Those colas look solid, well done!

Thanks, Shed. They do feel pretty solid too. So far so good. Knock on wood. :p

Nice job Homer. You really nailed that canopy. You'll be rewarded nicely for that. :passitleft:

Thanks, Sauga. I learned a lot about training from your journals. :thumb:

Here are my two vegging plants on day 47; a Critical on the left and a Dinamed on the right and amazingly they are within two days age but despite their massive difference in size their main trunks are actually the same diameter so I’m curious how they compare in yield.

I watered the Critical today with 6.5 g per gallon because it seems to be taking 6 g per gallon really well but the Dinamed on the right started showing signs of too much nutes so I gave her straight water last time and will cut back a bit from 6 g per gallon.

Here is my best bud on my White Widow looking pretty frosty on Day 59 of budding.

From the look of my trichomes I think I will give her another week or two.

Thanks for living on the knife's edge with the MegaCrop Homer! I'm looking forward to my big three getting into full flower so I can see how far they want to go. I'm at 5.5g/gallon now with the tiniest bit of tip burn so I'm leaving them there for now. But they're just 7 days into flip.

That WW is a looker!

Thanks, Shed. But I am actually enjoying finding the limits with the MegaCrop. Might as well push them as far as you can. Thanks, I am pretty happy with my WW the way it has bulked up. I can see why it is a popular strain.

Your WW is looking stellar Homer! I’ve got all my girls at 5.5grams of MegaCrop and I’m on Day 45! I’m eager to push them through flower and see what they can take!

So far MegaCrop is doing absolutely fantastic and I’m glad I made the switch from my 8bottle AN lineup!

That sounds pretty good Dutch. My two vegging plants are about the same age and one is taking 6.5 g per gallon really well and the other couldn’t handle six so your results may vary, LOL.

Yes I can definitely see going from eight bottles down to one mixture as a good thing especially the way it produces.

The WW is looking pretty good. Tomorrow when I water I will post a few pics.

Pretty gal!

Thanks, Penny. The buds were getting so heavy I had to wrap the plant with string to stop branches from flopping over; a good problem. :p

This fall it became legal for each household in Ontario to grow a maximum of four cannabis plants. Since then I have had one crop completed and harvested and a second in the final weeks of flowering right now but this journal will concentrate on my newest and third generation of plants.
Hey @Homer Simpson ... it looks like I am just in time to see your harvest. I am hoping to read through your grow journal tomorrow and see if I can pick up some more growing tips.

BTW ... those last pics of yours are awesome!

Hey, SQGuy. Welcome aboard! Thanks for stopping by and hope you like the journal. It is a pretty simple system but I am getting pretty good results.

Here are my vegging plants developing a nice canopy. The Critical on the left is 53 days old and the much smaller Dinamed on the right is actually 51 days old. The Critical loves nutes so I have it already up to 6.8 g per gallon but the Dinamed was showing signs of over fertilizing so it is only at 5.6 g per gallon.

Here are my budding plants on day 64. The White Widow in the foreground looks like it’s getting very close to getting ready judging by the trichomes. The Cannatonic in the background just isn’t budding nearly as much as the mother this cutting came from. I don’t know if that is because it is a cutting or because I am not using any budding additive. I really don’t like how clones are so random and harder to train so I think from now on I will just stick with seeds. I have been giving the Cannatonic in the 7.5 to 7.8 g per gallon range and the White Widow about 7.3 to 7.5 g per gallon which seems to be their maxes.

I think I will chop the Canntonic in the next several days and move the Critical into the budding room to take its place and leave the other two plants where they are. I ordered some superduper trimming scissors I am waiting to arrive. Titanium Coated 40mm Straight Trimming Scissors or Bonsai Pruning Shears for Grow Room or Gardening: Amazon.ca: Patio, Lawn & Garden

I have been reading about how to avoid so much resin buildup on my scissors and hands. I’m going to cover my hands in a thin film of olive oil and frequently soak the scissors in 95% alcohol and then coat them each time in a thin film of olive oil also and see how that works out. I’m sure it will be a mess but hopefully not so sticky.

Use STS to make S1’s of your mother plant. That way you can run fem seeds from her.

I have been thinking of doing that in the future but my problem is deciding on which strain I want to go with. I want to see how the Critical works out. I am thinking if I use STS to make one plant develop stamens like my Critical then I could save the pollen and use it to make seeds with any other strains I like in later crops. I know they would be hybrids but I think that would still work.
