Homer's Legal 4-Plant Max Perpetual Minimalist Garden In Ontario

Homer, glad you are back to posting and pics. You tossed a few, but looking forward to your excellently composed shots...my target for better pics, thanks. Im smoking through my heavy indica grow and have four distinct phenos with different smells and very different effects. 2A Purple an amazing hybrid effect. 2B the Flashy Thing from Men In Black movie...fun but instantly zaps near term memory...lots of laughs. 2C The Claw (these are all are weed names) is elephant tranquilizer...be near and ready for bed. 2D Super Fruit like a sunny sativa high, very social and talkative. Tinctures will also have different effects.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the fruits of your labour smoking through your Indica grow. Yes, I have realized from my Gorilla Glue that the tincture from that is completely different than my Northern Lights.

I left the house on Wednesday and met my buddy I have known since grade 3 for a coffee. We each drove through the drive-through and got a coffee and then sat by the creek where there are some nice benches watching the boats and jet skis go by. And today I dropped some tinctures and topicals of THC and CBD for a friend that lives on the parkway in Niagara and it was so nice. Lots of boats out that way on the Niagara River today enjoying the last good weather. It is nice to get outside.

So this friend along the lake has got some manic former track coach who dropped off one Girl Scout Cookie and two other plants I forget the name of so I was also there so she could pick my brain how to harvest. She's not really into it they more just fell in her lap so she wants them gone pretty much but I think they're pretty close by the trich pics. I took the pic on the back porch so this is in direct sunlight using my iPhone through a 60 times jeweler's loupe. I believe they were grown outside but details are hazy.

Her one plant has these all over it mostly just on a few branches though but this is awesome infestation and makes me grateful to be an indoor guy. She wants to put soap on it to kill them? She is trimming it as we speak. Any suggestions? I was thinking hold it underwater drownd them all so you don't contaminate the plant with soap.

I just recalled, coincidentally the other two plants she has are also Amnesia plants of all things. Those bugs are freaking me out. She thinks they are aphids.

Not sure if a dunk will get them all

The afflicted part has been trimmed up so I was thinking they may just die off as the plant dries a bit? I wouldn't think they would eat the actual triches but instead just the green part but I could be totally wrong.

A little world unto itself under that leaf. It just seems to me it's kind of late in the game for soap because they wouldn't do that much damage before they are dead. But as I said I'm just spit balling and I have no idea.

It just seems a big worry with bugs is that they are going to kill your plant not eat all your THC so now I figure once the plant is trimmed what damage can he do? I'm not saying they can't do anything I just can't think of anything. Maybe make the bug look really ugly?

They could kill the plant given enough time
Oh yes, I agree with that but she harvested the part of the plant that is infested today and it will be hanging up night so the plant is already dead. I wonder if they will destroy the bud as it dries before they dry off. She seemed to want to spray them with soap and knowing her she might have already.

She just texted me and she sprayed it with a food-grade pesticide whatever the heck that is. She's a nurse and pretty smart so I think it's okay. I figured she would do something before I could get a solution for her; she's not one to dillydallying.

Those aren't all aphids unless you have some weird aphids up north! Dunking in water rarely kills the bugs on the plant unless they're submerged for a long time. I wash in H2O2 to kill the bugs, but a spray down with 70%iso mixed 1:9 with water will kill them before harvesting.

And even food grade pesticide needs to be washed off, because most of us aren't eating the buds, and fire changes a lot of chemicals.

Don't leave those on the plant if it any part of it has time left, as they will suck all the green out of the fans. I haven't seen bugs that actually eat trichomes!

Thank you, Shed, every time I visit your journal you are battling some sort of infestation so I know you know that of which you speak. I was shocked when I saw that infestation. When I got home I closed the door behind me and stripped down and had a shower not for covid but for the plants, lol. I will email your report to her. I think she did wash them very well after spraying.

I found a pic of one of the plants of hers. Not sure if it was the buggy one.

It was pretty frosty and sticky. Not bad for a 3-gallon pot.

That’s a helluva colas!
It was a nice one but it was only about 3.5 ft tall so not huge but still for receiving out of the blue its all bonus.
