Home-made fertilizer?

I saw a recipe for home-made fertilizer a while ago. Can't remember where. Anyway, the ingredients were grass cuttings and doke leaves.
I decided not to use it.... was afraid to hurt my plants.
The thing is.... the fert was originally a very very dark Brown, almost black.... but after two weeks
in a glass jar its turned to a clear light green coloured liquid and smells like algae. If I use this liquid for my plants now
would it harm them? It looks and smells healthy lol
to me anyway!
Just curious... ur opinions will be appreciated... thanks guys .a

If in any doubt, throw it out! Just my opinion its always better to be safe than sorry!

It's a liquid compost to put it simply and it won't hurt your plants
How would decomposed grass cuttings and leaves hurt your plant, through atomic overload?
