HighUpNorth’s Soil Durban Grow Journal 2018

It's been awhile since an update from my side. Apologies for that.

The plan was that is should have moved my tent to another room today and prepared to flip to 12/12.
However, due to circumstances outside of my control that has been postponed until Friday.

Yesterday the little lady was very dry and had started drooping quite a bit so I decided to give her a feeding.

Before feeding yesterday:

Today (approx 24 hrs later):

She already picked it up a few hours after I fed her (just didn't get around to taking photos at the time).

She's been taking on some volume lately and I'm considering if I should give her a pruning before I put her into flower.
Maybe take off some of the lower fan leaves? What do you think?

Day 1 Flowering

So today after just under 24 hours of dark period I have started her on 12/12. Lights go on at 7 pm and off at 7 am.

The intake fan was in back order and only arrived yesterday, but is now installed, and I think it works well, temps have not exceeded 30 deg Celsius the last 24 hours :)

The last two waterings/feedings I have done, I've noticed that run off starts much quicker. I can give her maybe 60-70% of what I could a few weeks back. Is this because the roots are taking up more space now maybe?

I hope for some feedback on how she looks now and what steps I might want to take with regards to pruning, lst'ing and possibly scrog net.

So one side is starting to stretch a bit over the other and I'm wondering if I am able to train in down (seems it might be difficult, but maybe not) or if I should us a scrog net?

There is plenty of fan leaves that are sitting low and not getting much, if any, light. Should I prune these? Some of these are also yellowing a bit.

Hi Dutchman,

Thank you so much!
Great link on watering, I think most likely I'm watering too fast.
I'll definitely try and change my routine (I did actually take more time yesterday when watering and it seems she could hold more before run off).

hello highupnorth. nice looking plants. i have not smoked durban poison yet, but i have tried some nice african sativas,
and they're pretty good. looking forward to seeing more. cheers.
Hi Eldorado. Thanks!
Me neither, so I'm really exited to find out how it'll be. A few months from now, hopefully I will :)

Day 4 flowering

Checking in on the girl today I see a few new spots on some of the fan leaves on top.
2018-10-10 19.14.37.jpg
Anyone able to advise what it might look like? Nute burn/deficiency?

I have fed twice so far as per below BioBizz schedule (only Grow and Bloom)
2018-10-10 19.12.13.jpg
So half dose Grow and quarter dose Bloom (compared to the full dose later on during flowering)

If following schedule, I'll do one more feeding on this dosage (tomorrow) and then up dose on Bloom the following week.

Besides these spots and a few dry tips on some leaves, she looks healthy enough. But wondering if I need to make changes to my feeding regimen, as I'm basically just following the above schedule and feeding whenever she is proper dry and thirsty. What is the thought on doing a pure watering every now and then? I mean if she isn't hurting from the feeding should I just go on or... I'm rambling here :-o

Anyways, a few more pic just because.
