The leafs are starting to get yellow I posted the pics please have a look. I haven't given them anything beside waterOK. What has changed since yesterday?
Yes putting them in direct sunlight.OK, wow. So outdoors in mid day is above 90°F, up to 96°F? Are you putting them in the direct sun? That would be too much for such little plants.
What kind of water are you giving them? What nutrients are in the soil, as per the bag or anything you added to the soil for nutrients?
Good point, but he did add perlite. There seem to be plenty of perlite and organic material. I don't think it's a problem with aeration.I think your seedlings are struggling to breathe since you took out all of the aerating products and didn't add any back in. I would either mix the wood bits back in, or at least get some perlite to loosen the soil back up.
Thank you heaps mate, I really appreciate you taking you time and helping me out.Good point, but he did add perlite. There seem to be plenty of perlite and organic material. I don't think it's a problem with aeration.
@tryinggorw it would have been good to also add a good amount of coco coir to the soil.
Are both of them autos?
You saw this one I posted, yeah?So I see three problems. One, it's too hot outside during the day. Two, you don't want them in the direct sunlight. And three, they need many more hours of sunlight than you are giving.
Once they become established, bigger plants, they can take the heat and direct sunlight. However, temps above the high 80s°F (30 C) aren't ideal for cannabis. For now, you need to figure out a way for them to get lots of hours of light (full day length), but at the same time less heat, and not direct sunlight.
Moisture in the soil is super important in this situation. Use some coco coir as a mulch layer to protect the soil from the heat and hold in the moisture.
What I do is start my seedlings in a special sprouting mix, in very small 2" square nursery pots. Once they are about 4" tall, I re-pot them into 1 gal nursery pots, and bury the stem so that only about 1" is above the soil. At that point, I will keep the 1 gal pots under the same grow lights I used for sprouting, which are 24 watt daylight spectrum LED grow lights (2 bulbs). I'll leave them there for a few days and let them get established in the 1 gal pots. I will mist them a couple times a day. This whole setup is in my greenhouse, in a protected corner where I have my cloning table, and there's a sheet of plywood above to block the sun, and the sunny side of the table has a sheet of reflective bubble material blocking the sun. Eventually I put the 1 gal pots out into the greenhouse on a low sort of bench, and I use a wrap of the reflective bubble material around each 1 gal pot, to provide a heat shield/insulation. I also have about a 1" layer of coco coir on the soil for mulch. In summer, the sun goes directly over my greenhouse. I am using semi-clear/opaque greenhouse plastic for the roof, so the plants are not getting direct sunlight. Also, when the plastic gets dirty over time, that further reduces the amount of direct sunlight.
I hope this helps!
Yes I did, sorry a bit stoned lol I have a big back yard can I leave it under a shaded tree during the dayYou saw this one I posted, yeah?
I don't have lights, can't really grow in doors to say.Do you have grow lights by any chance? If so, you could have the seedlings indoors for a while until they get stronger. That would be a controlled, safe, less hot environment for them to get started.
When you put them out, maybe under a tree, they still need to be protected from animals. I would say you'd want them off the ground. Eucalyptus may not be great to put a cannabis plant underneath. The best thing might be a table you could rig up with a little top over it, and open sides (or screen sides), and a shade cloth for a roof. It would be like a mini shade house.
Auto plants can be quite small. What strain/variety are they?
They may not survive unless you bring them into the emergency room indoors, where you can nurse them back to health. For lights, all you need is one or two fairly low-wattage, daylight spectrum LED bulbs, you should be able to grab at Bunnings or somewhere... 19 watt or 24 watt. This is plenty of light for very young plants, and you can keep them much cooler indoors, and mist them. Keep the light on a timer, ON during the daylight hours.I don't have lights, can't really grow in doors to say.
I will try and make something. I have had it under shade snice mid day today
OK, a fairly small plant, from 2.5 to 3.5 ft tall.iconic Indica hybrid- Auto Zkittlez Feminized Seeds. This strain (under the name The Original Z) that what it says on the website I brought from.
