Hi, first time grower and member here

:welcome: @Slayer717
Although i've heard people grow in MicroGrow soil, it does give allot of issue.

Promix Hp or FoxFarm would be a better way of going. With FoxFarm make sure to mix it with other type soils as for seedling stage foxfarm is to hot as well. Hot=to much nutritions

Nice plants tho!!

Welcome to the forum @Slayer717 :welcome:

So I recently decided to start growing my own bud and bought some MG Natures Own Organic Natural potting soil with water conserve. So far I've been happy with the results but recently noticed the bottom leaves of my plants are turning yellow. Just the original nodes nothing else. Is this normal in this stage of growth or is there another issue I need to address here. Also, with this type of soil do I need to add any fertilizers or nutrients during the entire process or can I yield bud by just adding water until harvest??

Thanks in advance to anyone that helps
and I am happy to be part of this forum.
Uhm yeah...hey bud if MG is all you can get, use it :thumb: and BTW that style is better than the MG I used for many many years...but it has coco coir in it, so it may not dry out completely, and they definitely need some nutrients...I used MG all purpose plant food for veg and MG bloom booster for flower

Here is your soil...sounds pretty good for a beginner to me :thumb::popcorn:

  • Contains cool things from nature like coir and rich organic matter for a more nutritious start
  • Provides super moisture holding power to give your plants even more of what they love
  • Includes plant food that feeds your plants for up to 2 months, giving you big, beautiful vegetables and herbs, naturally
  • With Root-Trients - Alfalfa Meal, Bone Meal, Earthworm Castings, and Kelp Meal to provide nutrients essential in helping plants to build strong roots
  • For in-ground gardening of fruits, vegetables, and flowers

Probably use the Miracle grow for the seedlings then since they seem to like it then transplant to the foxfarm soil. This pic was taken two days ago and they've grown substantially since then. I'm definitely changing the soil as per y'all's advice.

@Slayer717 you have to put a @ in front of the name.

i'd just leave them be for now. Your lower leaves will be the first to show signs of nutritions and cutting them will make the next set of leaves to show signs.

also, what type of light are you using? you might want to provide them with some support

Mochabud, so what do you think is causing the yellowing of the bottom leaves? Is it common, should I be worried, should I cut them off or just wait till they die off?
It looks like they're hungry to me, some veg nutrients would be good :thumb: and I was reading about your soil in more detail, it's a good organic blend, so you may look into organics for feeding, and I never "pull" leaves in veg, unless they're getting crispy, that means it's not getting enough light or the plant has sucked it dry or both...
Try feeding them and putting more light or putting lights closer:popcorn:

Appreciate all the links. I'm taking in all the info now from them
No worries, if you like, create a journal and members can follow along with your grow and give you tips.

FYI my Home Depot carries Sunshine Mix 4 which is basically Promix HP. I use Mega Crop for my nutrients and they seem to be liking everything, including the natural sunshine.

Take it easy Slayer :meditate:it's not a race, less is better, and you're in soil so it will take 2 or 3 days to see improvement, as long as the new growth looks good, you're heading in the right direction :thumb:

O yeah, new growth looks amazing and 0 yellowing of the tips or the other nodes. I hear you buddy.

Me too   ...it's artificial  but 1600 watts of HPS in a 4 x 8 x 6.5 tent does the job :thumb:

Good luck @Slayer717 and if ya need, me throw an @ in front of my name :passitleft:

Wow! Look at them freaking buds man. I can't wait. I hadn't smoked in like 2 days either so seeing these kick-ass pics ain't helping lol. @MochaBud will do bro. I'm following you now as well so I can keep up with your content. I'll check out the journal idea too, I'm new to all this so I'm still trying to figure out how to use this forum properly.
