HH Microgrow

Its a possibility. I dont believe so, though. I water on a when the soil is dry basis.

Ok. Im back, though i've got alot going on in my life. I have decided to ride out the transplant until the next grow. This is an experiment, after all, so i would like to see how small I can keep the constraints. There is no sign of roots coming near the drainage holes on the bottem, nor to the surface of the soil, so i should be ok for now.

Here we are so far:

Im happy with the way this is turning out. This is what i was shooting for from the begining and im sure that some with a limited funds and tight living situations will appreciate the idea and the fact that full, budded growth can be attained with CFLs while keeping the height under nine inches.

How much stress does anyone think I would put on the plant by doing some light trimming? Am I better off leaving some yellowing leaves? The older(month+)growth is yellowing a bit but I see alot of this in many others flowering plants. Trim some curling yellow leaves? or let it be?

If transplanting is stressful, would cuttin the bottem out of the pot and placing into a larger, soil-filled, pot help the roots to extend? I would assume so but id love some expert opinion. The plant has been flowering for weeks and is still under five inches.

I'm a little behind, but just read the entire thread. Very interesting and a beautiful little plant. You ingenuity is to be commended!

No need to be hopeless, Hopelessim! You can do it! Continue to read the forums and you will find a wealth of knowledge to be gained. I'll be harvesting my first indoor grow in a couple of weeks and gained all the knowledge I needed right here on 420. HH's microgrow is truly remarkable and the entire process as it grows is described in the thread. Continue to read, gets some good soil and lights and you too can grow your own herb! :peace: and hope for the future.

Ive got active bud sites on the bottem and sides that would contact soil... Im also pretty sure that she would get shocked to sh!t if i did it now... Shes been flowering for over a month, i believe. If i begin to see strong signs of stress, i will repot... All I can say is that the colas are putting on size by the day and im loving it. My woman didnt know it was possible but she was suprised to see my 5" incher. The plant has actually gotten smaller since flowering. I guess the rule of thumb for doubling veg height when flowering doesnt apply to the LST.

Im trying to wait at least a week in between each set of photos to give a better image of progression. I want to be able to look back and see week to week. I hate the suspense when some growers wait a long time before showing results but when they are worth it, its something completely diffrent. To look at a little vegged plant and go through, week by week, shows a true miracle. Ill be composing a video slideshow to hopefully post. Battle of Evermore playing in the background. It excites me as an idea.

I bit the bullet this morning and transplanted to a bigger pot. I had to keep the ties for my LST on there so I cut the bottem half out of the pot and planted into a larger pot with freshly washed soil. It was getting rootbound. Not severely but im sure soon enough it would have. It was close to a knot of roots on the bottem.

Close call on the rootbound, I think the buds should be filling up more now that you have transplanted, more room for roots.
