HeyWilbur's 1st - White Widow Fem - Soil - Aug 2016

theres lots of different brands. But for shop bought in a tin i cant recommend great white mycorrhizae highly enough. Im not affiliatd with them in anyway but the results speak for themselves. That alongside a root stimulant will make your roots explode. Bg roots=big buds....

I received a $30 personal humidifier yesterday from Amazon. Supposed to last 30 hours - closer to 24 on the setting I use. But I raised my RH from 45 to 65, temp went from 75F to 72F. I am thinking this is a good range for the plants - 72F and 65RH. Thoughts and comments from my experienced friends?

Have a great holiday all!

Wilbur,

I was literally JUST looking to add that humidifier to my tent since I'm a little low on the RH. My question is about the light that that humidifier emits. Please share. I'm sure it's nothing compared to the grow lights but what about during dark periods?

I have been reading that young seedlings in week 3 and week 4 really should have higher 70-75 RH to get more females. So that's what I'm trying to do. Week 3 is next week for me.

Another thing I was looking at were swamp coolers. Hoping that a swamp cooler could actually replace both humidifier and fan and save me some room. But that's also to lower temps as my temps get up to 86F.

I think I'll put the humidifier on a time and do 3 hours on, 2 off to start to see if I can make the RH more consistent, as I peaked RH overnight at 75% RH. Would like to keep it in the 60's. All thoughts on this are welcome.

Wilbur

Agree that RH in the 60s is better than 75. That RH 45 isn't really too low. 45 to 60 would be a nice range I would think.

For me it's always the spikes that scare me. Right now my tent running 90 F because my house AC is busted. Thankfully, it's been a much cooler day here.

All your seedlings look ok. Keep doing whatever it is you're doing. :high-five:

I'm not a 100% educated on Mycorrhizae. (My own ignorance)

But since I'm the first to answer. I'm going to say DONT give the seedlings anything. Although, it's in my medium straight outta the store that my seedlings germinate in. I don't know how much is in it nor would I be willing to experiment to get it right.

I'm only saying this as a precautionary measure because I simply don't know. I'm sure someone here knows exactly and will inform us shortly.

Sorry for the shitty answer :thumb:

Well I got a small bottle of mycorrhizae "Great White". I'll mix some up tonight and give the 2 larger plants a feeding. Is this stuff safe for the little seedlings?

Cheers all,

Wilbur

YES!!! It's safe for seedlings and great for root development! It does need to come in contact with the roots, so best to dust root zone and hole at time of transplant.

Greetings all,

The two originals are the big ones (obviously). They've woken up in their new 3 gallon home and a steady diet of Cal-Mag, mycorrhizae (thank you Cultivator!) and Big Bloom every other watering (1/2 suggested dose). They were topped a couple days ago as well. The smaller gals are on day 35 and are about to get upped to the 3 gallon pots and nutes. I'm still wondering if the closet is shortchanging these plants. While the younger plants certainly have a much better start than the older two after I figured out proper additions to the soil for proper aerationa and drainage, they still seem a bit small to me compared to some other grow pix on the site. I am wondering if the LED is not enough for this closet (VipaSpectra V450). But I'll stick with what I have on this grow and make a determination of the light output afterward. At any rate, My intention is to give them another 30 days of veg and then turn on the 12/12 cycle. Hoping to have some nice Holiday Bud! Enjoy the pix everyone and, as always, your comments, suggestions and mentorships are most appreciated.

Peace all,

Wilbur

Thanks Much for the kind words Pigeon. I've been pleased with the results of the suggestions and assistance from my good friends here at 420! I'm going to do some mild training on the two big ones over the next 30 days and hopefully we'll begin flower by end of October. Can't wait to see what these ladies have in store for me!
