Hey Buddy's BlackJack Auto Soil Grow Journal 2012

not sure about u-tube links iv seen a few music 1's in posts if u on u should check out subcool420 the man is a legend his weed nerd show is quality good tunes good info

I plan on veging 4 under my 200 cfl that should b enough for first 3/4 weeks u could pick 1 up for 20 quid mine is enviro-grow il opt for a 250 when it needs replaced

cool, Im gonna check that guy out ....the one Im on about on youtube is ------------------ ....serious stuff.

Ill also look into the cfl's too. I would like the next batch to be done a month after the first and so on.There really seems to be no end to the learning :thumb:

Im looking at these for the next grow..

Royalmatic is the result of years of evolution of the autoflowering technology. This strain is the best producer of our collection and has an intense and pronounced sweet fruity taste of mango and grape, with a point of orange. Royalmatic will complete the whole cycle, from seed to bud, in about 9 weeks. The effect is completely mind relaxing but still happy and enjoyable. Perfect for indoor all year around and for outdoor during the summer or temperated months.

Available in bags of 2 or 5 seeds.

Kind of seeds: autoflowering female

Indoor/Outdoor

35% Sativa 35% Indica 30% Ruderalis

Flowering Time: 6 weeks

Yield: up to 75 gr per plant indoor, up to 150 gr per plant outdoor

THC: Up to 17%

Im seeing this one - 1 x 250w Plug and Grow Super Lamp - 6400K White/Blue Spectrum for Propogation & Growing. How go I power a thing like that??

Im thinking of getting a 125w 2700K CFL Red Spectrum Lamp + 2nd Generation Single Lamp Reflector to help boost the last few weeks of flowering. Maybe Ill put it underneath and point it up?

looking well buddy :)

Thanks! Ive stopped takin pics as my phone camera sucks a bit.

Here is one. They are 27 inches tall at day 35

OK Im gonna buy a Powerplant CFL Bulb Warm Red (250w) next week and place it on the floor of the tent facing up so underneath the buds can get some red juice for the final stretch....the idea works in theory!

cfl bulbs r self ballast, my 3 45watts r plugged into a clip socket got from asda for £2 the bigger bulbs need a bigger screw socket either on specific shades or leads.u can touch the bulb when they been on all day but still give of heat.u could fry an egg on my shade if I never had a fan blowing on it.

ok cool. What do you think of the idea that I get a Powerplant CFL Bulb Warm Red (250w) next week and place it on the floor of the tent facing up so underneath the buds can get some red juice for the final stretch....?? Do you think that will help gain some weight?

Whoa lots to catch up on...

I'm thinking less is best too pac-mon... seeds for these Autos are very expensive so less plants, but bigger sounds good to me..

The pro Hydro boys can get up to 6oz per plant (Blueberry) but that's not with Autos, and the setup cost is frightening, They take about 6 weeks longer but you can use your own cuttings.. Its a real shame you cant clone Autos.

I was reading that its better to have more smaller LEDs than one big one... not sure about the one you're thinking about Buddy, but mine (Blackstar) have a couple of UV LEDs in the middle and give a sweet spot of light. The theory is that you get better distribution with smaller units...

Ill be interested to see how you get on...

Yeah you might be right about the LED's RedLeb. I could just buy a UFO each month so after 4 months Id have the setup Im after- Less is more, less is more are the 3 words that keep after me...Blackstar must be connected to 420 as the last time I mentioned a business name on here it disappeared! Anyway Im gonna keep it simple and get a 250w cfl and start a closet grow next week then once this grow is finished Ill put the new grow into the DR90 with a 135W LED or the 250w CFL...Probably get the larger tent in May as 4 plants are cramped in here! They are slightly drooping today think its the light so I turned it off and jacked it up as high as it can go. Temps are @ 80F and humidity is 45% so they must just need a break as I watered yesterday and gave em their 1st dose of bio-bloom...too much excitement!

hey buddy do u use tap water? do u let it sit for at least 24 hours to let the chlorine escape I give my water min 48 hours just to b on safe side.this is 1st time iv used nutes but think ur best to start with half doses n build up.:peace:

Why yes I do use tap water but I live in the countryside and doubt there is chlorine in it but am I just being naive?? How do you let it sit for at least 24 hours to let the chlorine escape exactly? Should I go back to bottled water ? ? I also read that bottled water isnt always PH neutral!! hmmm

Couple of things Buddy..

Don't ask me why, but apparently Blackstar (maybe other LEDs) give out quite a bit more wattage in light than they draw from the power supply... somewhere around 3/5 which is great for heat & cost..

Lower humidity in flower helps increase the resin production... its a safety mechanism to slow down transpiration.. and much to be desired..

think all uk n Ireland tap water contains chlorine to kill bacteria could b wrong I fill 2 ltr milk containers I have 4 when I finish 1 I refill n keep cycling them also handy for keeping track of how much the plant is drinking and easy to add nutes :peace:

Ah I get ya.Ill start doing that to be on the safe side- Was thinking its either the water, the light is too close or they need a break from the 24/0 schedule or not enough air...process of elimination!

So Ive decided to do a closet grow in 2 weeks.Grow em to the flowering stage then move em to the DR90 for 2 weeks then hopefully by then Ill be able to get the bigger tent and 2 UFO's to carry em to the end. Then Start another grow in the DR90 and so on. Ya gotta have goals!

250W blue CFL
4 x Royalmatic Autos
16L Pots
Guano & Biobizz All Mix

Grand total of around €180
Possible yield 300g
Likely Yield unknown

Ill look into Blackstar again but if they are in the US, its a no go! Only UK companies are worth checking out for shipping is cheaper to Eire. There are a few Irish companies but this is rip off republic so Im not gonna even bother besides not one grow shop are selling them. Must want to get rid of all the HiD/MH stock first.

So are you saying its kind of ok to see em droop if they are fed and not being blinded or poisoned by the water??

Blackstar are looking good. I can get 2 x 240W units for the same price as a 350W I was looking at. Delivery isnt too expensive from the US either- thanks RedLeb.

Hey Buddy,

I got my LEDs (2) direct from America... on one I had to pay import duty, the other not.. worth bearing in mind (they don't tell you that!).. But also worth shopping around... On e-bay I got a discount best offer..

I agree with pac-mon - not ideal to have droopy leaves.. I always think its best to give quite a bit less than suggested dose (and not on dry soil) of feed and work up... no shocks at this stage..!
