Henman's Soil Sour Diesel Grow Journal 2013

If the stems are red on top and green below I believe this is a normal reaction to light exposure. If the stems are red above and below this may be a calcium and magnesium deficiency, some have suggested it is a phosphorous deficiency.
Hey you're absolutely right about this John! Took a look and sure enough she's only red where light has fallen.

mild nutrient stress
So I should cut back with the feedings eh? Yeah I guess it wouldn't harm. Rather a def than toxicity.
I've scoured the internet some more and I think it might be three possible answers here, but this is a very uneducated guess mind you :)
- Potassium deficiency
- Nitrogen toxicity
- pH problems

I was thinking nitrogen abundance, on its way to toxicity. your plants are showing mild "nitrogen clawing. type nitrogen claw in google images and you'll see for yourself. I would continue your feeding program, just a tad lighter the next couple waterings/feeding.

you're not cutting anymore plant material away are you? all that work the plant goes through to create fan leaves aka solar panels and food storage, and you cut them away?

grow on :)

Thank you! I will do that. And no, I'm not cutting anymore, even though it's tempting ;) she has regrown a lot of leafs which are shadowing alot, but I make do with bending and tucking :)
Thanks again for the help! :peace:

Looks like your in real good hands here buddy so simply follow their wisdom. best of buds to ya!
I must say it feels like it! Will do and best of buds to you aswell!

Henny, we can't lose here with all this support! :slide:

That might very well be true, buddy, but I'm also limited by budget. As of now, I don't have any income at all and I hope I don't have to abandon this grow soon due to possible homelessness. Owell, life's a bitch and then you die. Fuck it all and lets get high :blunt:

And yeah, I can get away with a couple of years or so in prison and a fine for growing a plant for personal use. But I also harbor a scale, which like in your country, equals dealer. I don't think "I'm using it to weigh up my medication" would hold up in court :)

Yeah being broke is a right prick, I've been there enough times for years on end to know how shit it makes everything for ya. But the good thing about this hobby is gear lasts a while so you can build up as you go and can afford to. Being homeless is one of my cold dead of night fears now, after all the times it's loomed up ahead of me.

And as to the excuse for a scale, I shit you not, a dealer I used to know was busted with 7 ounces of gear separated into 3g and 1g bags down his pants and a scale in his backpack, he got a judge to believe he had all that so he never went over a daily allowance that he sets himself. And seriously, this guy might as well have had dealer tattooed on his forehead in bright pink to look at.

And I'm sure you'll fix your girl up :)

HI Henman!:ciao:
O my Gosh, I feel for you guys. I never thought weed would be made legal in my lifetime but it has been here in colorado. Hopefully it won't be long before the rest of the world catches up and everyone can enjoy this herb safely.
How is your girl doing this morning Henman? I think its rather normal for the leaves to look a bit rough as the plant ripens. :peace:

Thanks for the support guys! :ciao: :namaste:
I'd love to build my gear up and expand my grow setup. It's a little dream of mine to be able to freely grow as I please with unlimited supplies, hunt for new seeds, create new strains. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about ;) :)
But if I end up on the street I won't have a grow setup anymore. But it's not the first time I'm facing homelessness; I have a tendency to put myself in these situations :loopy::scratchinghead:

Hm, then I might be lucky enough to get away with it, if I ever get caught. Just gotta throw away all the bags I've for some reason saved up :)

I'm hoping for this as well! Seeing how legality changes in the states, and at the rate it's changing, I have high  hopes for the future!
Despite her sad leafs she's doing quite well thank you! She's still swelling up nicely, and this morning I saw two what I at first thought was balls. But upon close inspection turned out to be just really swollen calyxes :)

edit: I really wish I could provide you with the high res images, but as I'm on a cellular network it takes for ever to upload. maybe i'll see if i can fix something up tomorrow

what wattage are you working with right now? that plant is nice and is going to produce big buds if you treat her right :)

Flo, breal thanks to both of you! I can find myself sometimes been sitting for who knows how long just admiring her :)
having a hard time realizing i'm having a live, actual, flowering cannabis to care for

as for the wattage, i'm running a stunning 36W! I'm hoping for big buds but I'm not sure how that will go with treating her right and the low wattage, but I'm trying as good as I can :)

Yay thanks nerf :high-five:

Nothing new to report today, other than HIRES IMAGEEES (as promised)! :yahoo:
I even dusted off my old DSLR camera for this, enjoy!

edit
whaa..? it seems the upload algorithm automatically resizes images. these aren't their original size, unfortunately :(

Beautiful bud shots there Henman. Shes getting those pretty crystals all over them. You definitely have a green thumb to get her to do that with 36 watts. Reps for the beautiful plant.:thumb:
Happy Growing!
:peace:

You're making me blush Flo! :dreamy: she sure is! she's so frosty looking, i'm tempted to eat her!
Well I can't take full credit, the soil and she herself have done most of the job actually :)
I'm bad at taking compliments, aren't I haha
:thanks:
( i find this emoticon particularly fitting, thank you and a flower bouquet )

Loving the pics. She is doing real nice. Im still popping by keeping an eye out for when she is ready.best of buds and keep your good work up.

Thank you, my friend! It's nice to have you lurking around, I feel safer that way :)
Almost like a guardian angel :thedoubletake::high-five:

why don't you add some bulbs? are you sure you're running 36 watts? lol
We can't afford it, truth to be told. And yeah, I'm sure but I might have been a bit deceptive ;)
The bulb is an effective 36 watts. The reseller states, however, that the output it equivalent to a 134 watt regular bulb. It's rated 2200 lumen at 6500 kelvin.

The leaves are a superfood, but you might want to wait a few weeks at least :)

But they look so frosty and delicious! And I'm hungryyyy
