Help needed! First grow!

i find them abit small for 35 days ... now soil keeps plants smaller then coco and that in turn smaller then hydro ... soil on the other side gives your bud a much sought after better flavor especially if they are bio fed and sungrown ... many factors can inhibit growth ... poor lights, cold or hot temps , stress ... low nutes, low water or humidity ....

but hey ... they look better then my first grow hehe

Is it showing gender yet?

It's still very early but i see some growth starting to form, I would guess on female but one can only be sure when pistils show ...

And if I buy a 150 watt medium base e26 metal halide bulb & hps for other side and put them each into a 250 watt capable clamp lamp for my tent would it work ? Or is a ballast needed?

And should I top my plants again? Or continue to let them grow just how they are? How many times should i top if I fimmed before around 20 days from seedling
