Sorry for not being around as much, I'm gonna be getting the Diploma I never got cause I dropped out (not really my choice, my mother was a single mom who worked her ass off, but that also meant she couldn't help me when I needed it the most.), then I'm gonna be going to community college for Biological Science(or whatever classes that'll get me transferred to do so), so I can get to a Uni, and then get my masters in Botany! All while trying to raise two kids (another in OCT( xD), and a full-time job, and growing my legally allowed 6 plants. The schedule is jam-packed, but I'll still try to be around more when it's possible!

Im retired from retail after 28yrs with no college education. We were blue collar and had to work back then.

Botany would be my route also, for understanding my plants better. Really cool you are doing that and hope you capitalize on getting that degree bro.

We really have no choice, but to work our asses off these days, even pulling OverTime to make rent!
I remember rent was just 600$, with everything included, and you could actually live!

I chose Botany, as I dream of one day working for Space X or Nasa, working with plants in space, or even mars!
I know it sounds highly out of reason, but tbh people don't really get into that field till they're older, by the time I go through college and all that to get everything I need, my kids will be pretty much grown, and I'll be around the right age.
I'm 23 now, and even if Botany doesn't work out, there's always turning the Biological science degree into something for medicine.

A man can dream, haha!

Fridge dry bruv.

It changed the way I dry.

Tbh not so much a necessity in my dry cold winter air, but come summer when my humidity makes even a dry fart wet, it’s the only way to dry.

And I agree, financially it is a difficult time to get ahead. Half the battle is having a plan. Good for you on your choice to re-educate and good luck with your study. I was the single mother with no education and very limited money, and the opportunity to study came later for me. I was 40, and my son was 23. I worked two jobs to put him through private school and really believed that was my life course, to do right by him. Doing right by me was life changing. Education is the foundation for success, well I think it is. I know have a career rather than a job, and I am finally getting ahead.

People say money doesn’t bring happiness, and to that I call bullshit.

Shoot for the stars, kid. Worst case scenario you’re bound to hit the moon :)

My girl,
Cut last night, took off fans , just left sugar leaves on flower with stem. Is that cool,? its running 40f degrees 30% now in brown paper bag.
Any other advice friend?:passitleft:

Ok I do have advice.

There is a whole drying thread.

But I trim, wash, drip dry then bag and tag.

I turn my bags over once a day and I only open the fridge once per day.

I touch it in 7 days.

Fridge drying has been a game changer for me. Like most of the aspects of growing, less is best.

The more you fuck about opening the fridge, opening bags the more unstable fridge temps become, I found anyway.

After about a week, I touch my bud. When it feels ‘oh my god I’ve fucking ruined it’ dry, I put it in a jar. Go back and check humidity reading, if it’s over 70% within a few hours, back in the fridge for 8 hours. I continue this till I get under 70%. Once under 70% I shake out to breathe twice a day till I hit 69%-64%. Once I hit those numbers I start my cure.
 
Day 4 of drying. Temps are 71f degrees and 63% rh.
Here a shot, not the best looking nugs but smells incredible. It has a light brownish look im not crazy about...all good.
Ask the wife about buying a potable AC, she said hell No..lol..cheers folks

If I weren't going to use it for the greenhouse, I'd send ya mine (If I end up getting a 4x4, the offer might be on the table! xD)
Finally, I got my central AC fixed, but I haven't checked the drying area temps, its probably way better than it was, however!

Congrats on the harvest Gainesville, and no worries on the look as long as it hits right ;)

Lol and why did the wife deny the ac unit lol buy it and buy her something and say nothing..... If she bitches about the unit just be like "welllll......you get nice things" :laugh:

But good to see the garden rotating and starting flower... Here's to a another good run:passitleft:

lol..if i wanted the potable A/C now it would be in my room..lol..she supports me on the things needed in the grow room. Cant spend 500 bucks with giving her a heads up. lol.. just really need one for the drying room June, July, August.

Hope everyone is feeling great! Sorry about journals folks. Started trimming last night, didn't get a lot done. Today and tomorrow should be able all done.

We have new neighbors in our community. The wife is a counselor of the high school and husband is absolutely crazy. He has already bullied several neighbors with his loud mouth. Either wrong parking, or loud music. Etc.. Hes the king of assholes basically in the neighborhood.
This morning or yesterday he called animal rescue about picking up our Ferrell 2 cats , my wife and i have been taking care of the last 7 yrs. Dumb ass didn't realize it was private property, so not allowed.
Promised my wife i wouldn't say anything but this morning he got to me before my coffee. Scaring away our cats acting like a teenager.
So i went a little Cra Cra..lol..told him, if he comes back on my side of the tracts im going to drag is ass off this property.
Guess he got the point, almost wish i didn't do it because of my wife and son are here alone sometimes without me.
Not good energy, when i was looking him in the eye, something not right!
Appreciate the vent peeps!
I need to burn a little more..cheers
