Hi ya duggan! Thanks for the work around. When I get back on the laptop I'll look into it.

Recovery is progressing fine. Mentally I'm hung up about the arm/hand. I really want a wrist and at least a couple digits so I can better manipulate things. Thats the toughest part on me.

Thanks for stopping by! Always good to see you.

Hi nulife. Thanks for the love. No plant has been fully harvested yet. 2 blue dreams are down to lower branches. The tops cut out of 3 others. That 70s Weed has taken heavy worm damage and we are changing tactics. Instead of cut and trim as we go, we are cutting the entire plant today to stop the damage. Cut, remove the worst areas, bring it inside, rough trim, search out the worms and hang to dry until we can get back to finish trim. So bagseed 70s weed will be a hat rack by the end of the day.

Stopped long enough to get ya some pics....

An oddity.....

Awww so you're doing a staggered harvest? I was just trying to look into this the other day, and could find people who do it, but can't seem to find any instructions of do's and don'ts. Can it only be done to outside plants? How exactly is that done? Is there a certain way you should cut or not cut? How much can you cut and how much can be left to continue growing? Lastly is there something you're suppose to do to the cut branch left behind, ie. tape it up or something? I ask because I'm assuming when you cut the branch moisture will be dripping out.

Well that was my 10 question limit of the day. lol Anyway, your crops have looked completely beautiful throughout the summer so there's no surprise at the beautiful buds. Mazel Tov!
Enjoy,

All I do is find the lowest dense buds and take the whole top to that point, leaving the softer buds to go longer, hopefully. Its a squeeze test for me, and a decision if the buds can even go longer.

Indoor or outdoor, though going longer outdoor leaves you open to more pest problems. I'm staggering because the problems, have to preserve the weight in the colas. No need to tape or dress the cut end. Yes it will lose a little water at the cut, but like any wound it seals off quickly. Make sure your scissors are clean, no transferring diseases. You can cut as much as you want.

The damn worms have been condemned to death by chicken. Instead of squishing, we're collecting. I fed them well, now they will be turned into eggs for me. Would prefer having the buds, lol.

Eagerly awaiting the answer to this one here. Great question(s). Things just got a lil more interesting. Didn't think that was possible.:tokin::popcorn:

The first BD I harvested 2 weeks ago, 7oz, still has buds and are definitely bulked up and more resinous. Will be finishing it off as soon as we burn through the tops and dense side buds of the other plants.

"Death by chicken".... Sounds just. :battingeyelashes:

Hope all is well in the grow scene there. Nice looking buds all trimmed up! Boy, you where right! A long day yesterday and we only did 2 plants. Lol. But, we are all finished and waiting for the dry and cure process. The Indica changed smells on me and by the end of the trimming process, it had the whole house smelling like Diesel fuel! So Skunky in the garden then wham!! So we washed em as well. A few lil caterpillars but no other pest! Thanks for your help and wisdom! May you have a blessed day!

Thank you Heir, for answering my staggering harvest questions. Seems simple enough. I was thinking about doing this to one or two of my plants, which is why I was doing some research. So that was very helpful, as always. Sorry about the worms, but I'm sure they don't have a chance with you on the job. lol

Have a wonderful weekend.

Awesome Bumble! Congrats on your harvest!

I've got one lying behond the shed, will be utilised in future.. making me feel like such a stoner to never have thought about using it..
Been doing some research on your bud worm problem. Man, they travelling from distance to get to your plants, probably came from interstate.. I'm lucky in my area, only get foliage cats rolling some leaves.. I'm really starting to realise how easy we got it down here in Australia, we only have to worry about stuff killing us, there's enough natural protection for our plants, lol...
