How far is your light source from the top of your plants?

They have been approx 12"-18" from the tops for the majority of veg but, I know this grow was under-lit.

Congrats BTW on the new gig!

Just started a new job so I need to go an check out your BHZ grow. I've been in flower now for just over a week, but haven't had the time to update the journal.

Closing out day 8 of flower.

#1 Seems to be showing male big time. Frankly, I'm happy to get rid of it. I vegged these things WAY too long, and considering this strain's long flowering cycle, I very much need the space in this over crowded and light starved growing space.

#2 I'm not so sure about. Not sure at all about it actually. I will be SUPER disappointed to find out both plants are males, so I'm hoping someone can spot something that I'm not able to see... And I hope it's good news

Tonight will complete 8th full day of 12/12 light cycle. MH bulb will be replaced with HPS in a few more days.

Now receiving week 5 nutrients. 1370-1510 ppm. Will not be using any Micro nutrients. PH Maintained between 5.80-6.00

Lots of shadow which tells me to point to lowlighting conditions. If that is true you will tend to pop male. If its cold or stressed you will tend to pop male. But it could just be luck or a lack of it to be exact.

I did not realize that growing conditions could affect sex. I have heard light leaks during dark periods and stress can cause "hermies" but I was not aware lighting or temperature for example, could help dictate sex... Very interesting.

Make sure you kill all of the clones that were taken from Brainstorm Haze #1.

Killed and disposed of the plant and the corresponding clones of BHZ #1 yesterday morning.

#2 plant still not indicating. Getting anxious. Decided if #2 does end up being female, I will be upgrading from 400W to a 1000W lighting system for that grow space.

Flower Day 20:

- Just a few days ago BHZ #2 FINALLY indicates female.
- Upgraded to 1000W Apollo Ballast and bulb in different space with cool tube hood, so this space is now running 2 400W HIDs.
- MH bulbs were replaced with HPS once the plants indicated.
- Week 6 reservoir has been prepped and will be changed in 3-4 days remaining at 1370-1510 ppm.

BHZ #2 Plant Still just a little over 4ft tall. Tied down.
