Heavens Shores - Bill's 2022 Grow: Come Meet Howie! Show Us Your Grow Too - Bring A Pic

I know you've figured this out already, Bill, but after a painstaking look at your new operation I'd say that the only tidbit you need is ... another MedicGrow Easy8 1K-watter! Ha! Love how you've set it up to work as a true 'supplementary' when season is right. Looks like if the sun does ever shine again you'll get plenty with how you've centered the fixture. I think medicGrow would be getting quite the showpiece if they installed another one in there for you.

I see they actually are offering a new, beautiful, true-greenhouse supplementary model now. Two of those would be perfect for you and I can't imagine a better opportunity for GrowMedic to show off to the hobby market. I think both form factors offer a lot to the 'craft grower' such as yourself. I sure do enjoy the thread, and, nice work MedicGrow - you've got our attention.
I'd be pleased to showcase a couple IP67 - 550w.
Sorry to hear tubing didn't work out, but glad to hear everyone's well enough to have given it a shot. Don't want to take anything for granted these days!
It's cold and rainy today, so canceled.
Give your buddy a scruffle for me, would you? PS how much water depth change do you see there, max to max?
It's apparently the lowest it's been in years.
There are 2 pools at the shore that hold fish, usually.
They are barley 4' in the center.

But in the spring it was up to my firepit on the lawn.
Probably a 10 ' difference.
But if you go down a 100' there is a big deeper pool.
It's still deep enough to tube though.
It's a 6 hrs drift max but we just park a car down the street and do a 2 hr run.
I'd love a fishing kayak.
There are some incredible pools and no one ever fishes them.;)
I will only walk so far because it's a long walk back.
And Howie keeps jumping in the water.
How have things been going? Any improvement?

Ok so @MedicGrow what do you say?
Need anyone to display the IP67 - 550W. :surf:
I've got the perfect greenhouse to show off a couple. :thumb:
Thank you @MedicGrow :thanks:

I’m interested as well seems more effective space wise
I'm hoping I'll need a dozen of those 1lb bags.
That should get us through the winter. :thumb:
Hope your getting sun down there.

I'm still waiting for summer what does that tell you?
Got the heat on full in the greenhouse today Aug 1st
I want to make my own RSO. And concentrates and salve and bath salts oh and hash.
Long feken Winter.
Plus I need smoke for me a few friends. :thumb:
So 12 should do it.
Hope your good GDP.
How is the heatwave?

I get it. You've got lots of plans for its use!

How is the heatwave?

As David Letterman once said, it's so hot I saw squirrels sitting in the park putting ice on their nuts!

Oh-ho! Rimshot!

"Ehhh, Paul? Any frosty nuts up in your neighbourhood this year, North of the 49?" "No, Dave, uh, as it happens we bury our nuts deep, keeping them just right..."

Oh ho!! double rimshot! ... (while a perfectly 'thwipped' blue cue card fades, then homes in on CAM-1.)

Thanks for the classic Late Night, GDP, a most welcome burnish to this fine thread (er, gnarly ball of twine, but let's not split hairs)

Your sence of humor is brilliant.
I've got a pretty funny side, at least I think so.
See.
I always say to Stacey I think I'm funny, don't care what everyone else thinks.
Heat is still on in the greenhouse.
Good thing I put A/C in the house.

That light on 100% puts off a bit of heat.
It's been cloudy, raining all day.
Summer was that one Saturday it was sunny? Do you remember?
Or was that last year.

Sad story.
Opened the back door at dusk last night.
There was a Hawk on the ground trying to make a duvet out of one of the doves I feed.
Feathers everywhere, try raking wet Feathers in grass.
But I just looked and both of them are out there again. :yahoo:
I thought it would have been a lonesome Dove, but the pair is there.
So I don't know who I cleaned up last night.
I want to tell them to split, before it's too late.

Well that got you out of lawn duty but no tubing :( and I’m not sure about this sun you speak of starting to think it’s a urban legend but rain is better then snow my friend ;)

Good to hear it survived but raking feathers in the grass sounds like a pain in the ass! You should tame a hawk that’d be cool 😎

For reals though, what an amazing opportunity for you both that'd be. I'd really like to hear from you what you thought of such a setup if installed. You're one of the finest members on this, the definitive top grow forum... and... you're a pretty good grower too, (lol). Just look at how many pages this thread accumulates in a month - during early veg fer krissakes.

The pièce de résistance

The piece de resistance would be a hookup with Apogee so you could share with us PAR in-the-feild under the 550w single light numbers, and details spacing/edge overflow when using multpl 550w supplmntl. greenhouse fixtures. In other words, this light's raison detre. Love to see the 550w numbers under sunny conditions, and 'overcast', etc. I'm interested in the overlap factor on this supplemental design type and an Apogee would be better than a Pulse One, n'est pa? At 48 inches I would imagine a creamy par layer +/- 10% edge to edge covering your entire floorspace width. And IP67?!... fugghedaboutit...!

I'd love to fill the greenhouse with those IP67's .
That would be brilliant.
The 550w would spread the light better.
EZ8 is fantastic, but designed more for a tent than greenhouse I believe.
Holy mollie I didn't realize I was on page 70 already, and still in veg.
We haven't even got to the good part yet " flower ".
Apogee unit would be great, constant monitoring with displays in real-time.
Unfortunately my meter disappeared after the fire.
You don't realize how much equipment you accumulate over the years.
Until you need to replace it.
The sun has been sparse this month, without the MedicGrow I'd be in a pickle for sure.
It's a life saver.
I'd never pull near enough without it.
Tell you what they send the light, I'll buy the "Apogee"
Good deal.

Poor Dove.
I was heartbroken for it.
I feed them by the apple tree outside the back door.
I'll have to put up a warning sign.

Totally with you there. Ages ago, my time in Jasper driving the tour boats at Maligne Lake, I used to sit at a picnic table with my lunch. You gotta understand, Maligne Lk. is waaay out of town, 45min drive up a dead end road up the canyon another couple thousand feet and the docks, restaurant, gift shop, fishing guide shack and a ranger station are all that's up there. When we got there end of April to start work there was 10ft of snow covering the whole 20km lake (that's when I realized I was about to learn to how polish a boat, really, really well). That, and study to pass the 40 ton Cdn Coast Grd Masters Sm Craft, plus the big local history and trivia test req'd. We were crews of 2 and alternated each tour who would make a presentation and who skippered the boat. (I think 4 per day, 90 mins each)
BC-maligne-topbanners.jpg

Oh right....sorry... and we smoked lots of hash many evenings, always avail and delivered by our Quebecois pals who worked in the kitchen. They had the market cornered and I wasn't gonna be the guy horning in with BC Bud, even though I took regular deliveries of the stuff (My gf at that moment was from Crawford Bay in the Kootenays, part of Canada's green triangle). I made sure they knew it was recreational amounts only and shared with them, those guys were my pals and that's the way I meant to keep it, if you catch my meaning. HI Mods!

Anyway, the picnic table. I'd sit out there and there was a little prairie dog family living under a rock ten ft. away. One day I offered out a piece of cheese from my sandwich to poppa prairie dog who popped his head out to see what's what. Slowly he crawled out of his home and crept closer and closer to possibly take the nice thick cheddar chunk right from my hand. When he was a foot away from my outstretched hand suddenly everything went blurry, got windy and something felt like it brushed my face and hair... and then, no more prairie dog. I looked to my left and he was in the talons of a bald eagle squealing away. The cheese still in my outstretched, frozen in time, hand. Man, it was an awesome display and a heartbreaker. That huge eagle was so close to my face going by it felt like it hit me even though it didn't. My jaw was slack, but my hand still outstretched when I finally stopped watching the departing drama and realized that Mrs. Prairie Dog had just crawled out of the hole looking for her husband, recognizing his death cries as he was swept away. I'll never forget the look on her face as I sat there still outstretched with that damning piece of cheese in hand, she knew exactly what just went down and called me "murderer" with her eyes. She cried out for him just once, then returned to her hovel no doubt to go tell Johnny and Susy Prairie Dog that Daddy wasn't coming home. I may or may not have misted up 15 mins later when the adrenaline finally stopped flowing.

Had plenty of similar experiences since but they all remind me of that one. I always feel sad for the prey and impressed by the skill and daring of the predator, they risk all every time they go in for the kill. High drama. When we humans complicate things the stakes only seem to go up.

At leat the Hawk didn't hit me.
That pic is incredible
Must have been a great place to work.
I used to fish Emerald Lake by Temiscamang was the same color.
Full of speckies.
But it didn't have the back drop.
I'm sure the cooks had real hash back then.
I've tried various kinds lately and it doesn't compare.
I loved getting keys with the red wrapper and the gold stamp of the militia group who made it.
That shit sold itself. ;)
Hope your doing well today Amigo.
