BILL 284 METHOD
HOW TO FILL AND USE AIR POTS

Once it's full pat down the dirt

Pat down the top making a depression around the outside edge
And a mound in the center
Perfect for watering and root development

Perfect for watering
Water automatically goes to the outside edge
Difficult to overwater due to Perilite layers holding air

Always water to run off
Give the roots a reason
to chase it to the bottom

Top quality nutrients are important

I am using week 8 of the veg / chart
2 ML / Litre of
MAGNIFICAL / MICRO / GROW / VELOKELP

Marinating needle is handy for measuring your nutrients
Also for watering solo cups
Get one

I only mixed 8 Litres this time
16 ml of each veg nutrient


​

It will spil over the edge first time you water
So go very slow at first
But when you have to water 25 or 30 ladies at once
The mound and drain will make perfect watering
every time a breeze

I didn't even see your "Bill284" method tutorial before I made a reply, and I kinda felt bad for the reply after I realized you had made a diagram. lol, I just google one, and that was the first one, the roots just are so much more amazing in a air pot and I will swear by it!

I stand by the Bill284 Method and will continue to use it, as a homage to @Bud Love, and you Bill! I'll most likely even teach it to my children(when they're old enough), and so on!
I sadly didn't get to meet @Bud Love, but I have seen some of his posts, and he's good people, and I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend Bill.

Hi Bill, good saves! Too bad about the tablet, would have liked to see those pics. First time I heard about a camera malfunction due to heat.
Got quite the wind here also. Cedars and natural enclosers did alot of protecting but Julie's many branches dropped by half, about 18 inches. May need to prop them, they are arching backwards and should be raining alot tomorrow.
Since my camera still works, here is a pic of Julie's drop.

Camera went into the freezer to cool and started working again.
Then Friday I dug out a fall jacket and sweatshirt, freezing.
Crazy weather up here this year.

You have quite a selection there of strains.
I had a mason jar with one seed each from my mother strains, kept from Holland years ago.
It's feken missing??
Never made the move, fek,fek.
Dam winmar must have kept it.
Now I've cracked the bulk of my stock.
I'll have to replenish the cupboard.

Other than the 6 week old That's only 2 " high.
I've got a bunch of sticks with no foliage.
Sad seen , but no time for that.
Got a bunch of seeds that I'll hopefully have better luck with.
And if the older ones live that's fine too.
I'm excited to crack the coco though.
Finally something I know, hehe.

It was perfect, mi screen shotted it infact.
You will see it over and over.
I said team work is good, I appreciate the response.
I can't always answer right away so I like when others pitch in and answer questions on my threads.
Especially such good ones.
Made my diagram look childish, nbut that's great.
I'm glad your benefiting from the method I am promoting.
Hopefully Bud Love will walk into a grow shop one day and see a sign that says the Bill284 Method, and say wow that was my name.
Then he will look me up again.

Thats amazing bill loving those roots man. Was checking out those marinating needles online earlier they look really good think im guna invest in 1 for my next run.

Ahhh someone used my method tweaked! Lol for any plastic pot make it perform like a fabric pot, eliminate circling and use the pots whole volume for your roots!, I do this now even when I use fabric pots if your setting them in saucers. Keeps your roots from sitting in your run off water. As you can see the roots go straight down but don't circle! They fill the entire pot!
