This! I use peppermint in the Candida carob/chocolate edibles i make (Candida infused coconut oil mixed w chocolate) and the peppermint masks the undesirable parts of The flavour really well - like an after dinner mint!
Maybe he would like an alcohol tincture better - absorbtion wise it will be similar to oil under the tongue.
The only reason I say under the tongue is better is because of the way we metabolise it and how it then works in the system.
Swallowing CBD, with no buccal or other absorbtion (from chewing and swallowing E.g.,) will not have the same kinds of short term effect on things like pain and anxiety levels that smoking, vaping or under tongue dosing can bring.
Eating CBD works systemically over time to reduce inflammation. The effects are not immediately noticeable. I see eating it as a part of the overall regime. I take it daily under the tongue fir the immediate effects and eat 10mg a day for “systemic support”.
Considering that anxiety and depression and chronic pain can all be linked in different ways to systemic inflammation, eating it is important indeed! But do both now - not one or the other. The more pathways the merrier!
