Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Hey everyone! Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted since Monday... weird! Well I’ve got some pics to share with y’all now.

Starting with the veggies-
Dr Seedsman (left) chugging along, CPK (right) is growing slightly faster and will be ready to start training I the next couple days. Yummy.

Afghani was topped yesterday and uppotted to a 3 gallon fab pot. I left the 2nd nodes on because I’m sure I’ll want to take some clones. But now I’m starting to think that was unnecessary and I’ll probably take them off after all. We’ll see.

Nightingale clone doing well. She’s the third generation, so would that be 3.1? What a great, easy plant to clone. She’s a strong grower for sure. She already has roots showing at the bottom of the cup...

Candida clone, looking light up top. I increased their feed yesterday, so hopefully she will bounce right back.

And then there’s Hiydrow....
I took the lid of the propagator off for a night and in hindsight, it was a mistake. She went super droop (nearly dead looking) so I put it back on and she perked up a tiny, tiny bit. I just don’t know. Watch and wait.

I can’t even tell if there’s new growth or not. Maybe a little in the lower node pit? I dunno. Watch and wait.

Now the bloomers.
I did a slight rearrange on the 2 gallon girls (left side) and put the tall girl in the back. I was hoping to get a tiny bit more stretch from the Hiydrow (now in the center). Not sure if it actually worked, but it’s more appealing to my eye at least.

Today is day 21 from flip for the 2 gallon girls. I’ll do a defol eother later today or tomorrow, depending on my energy levels. Don’t worry, I’ll keep you all posted!

Thanks for swinging by and Happy Gardening! :ciao:

Poor little Hiydrow :(. It's a slow mover for sure. Can't tell it the ProMix has dried out from the pic but try to keep it moist but not wet while you wait. Flower girls look great!

Seed is 1, first clone is 1.1, second clone is 1.1.1. If you take two off the seed then those would be 1.1 and 1.2, and a clone off 1.2 would be 1.2.1.

If you want to bother with all that I mean :cheesygrinsmiley:.

Yeah, that Hiydrow!! I have been watering just around the stem mostly. I don’t think she has much in the way of roots, so I was trying to hit whatever she’s got down there without overwatering either.

Lol with the numbers, it would just keep going 1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1... which brings up a question I've been meaning to ask. Is there a point when taking clone, off of clone, off of clone, turns bad? Or can I just keep taking a clone each time I’m moving a plant to flower? If that question made sense..

Loss of vigor??

There are clone-only strains dating back 20+ years, so they're all just like the original (environmental changes notwithstanding). Clone your clones without fear.

My AK-47 ended up with a lot of 1's when I finally let that line go. Something like what you wrote!
Loss of vigor??
Not for me thanks for asking!

Great to hear! Just wanted to make sure I didn’t need to make a designated mom soon. Thanks Shed Mr Vigor!

Eveything is looking nice, HH !
It does look like some new growth at the second node on that Hiydrow, so she's trying...

Great update Hh! The flower tent sure looks good one might even say Verdant!

Love the veggers they look very happy looking forward to the start of the quad training.

Looking fabulous as always HH! :green_heart: Hope you have a great day!
Thanks so much, you too CC!! :circle-of-love:

Lol N!! Thank you, I’m looking pretty forward to it too. I feel like I’ve barely had anything to do without being in coco anymore.

Hello my dears, I’ve got a collage of photos for this Easterly update. Today’s update will begin in the vegetation tent.

I took the next steps with quad training with Dr. S and CPK.
First, I remove the fan leaf shown (under node 4) from each side of the plant.

I use a lawn staple and soft wire to start the training.
8DE36C4B-3AA6-4832-B63F-F9569473842D.jpeg

At this point, I’m just letting the weight of the wire gently pull the stem down. In my opinion, this is the most fragile part of training, so I take it easy at the beginning. Tomorrow I will start to pull the branch arms down a little more.

Both sides done. :D

Same treatment for Dr. S

I’m not in any hurry, so I’ll take the next set of leaves tomorrow when I train the arms more.

I also ended up removing those lower nodes from the Afghani.

Still alive, so I got that goin for me.

That’s the veggie update, stick around for some bloomers.

Bloomies!

I did some post stretch defol on the 2 gallon girls yesterday. As well as adding some supports. The buds have a lot more fattening to do and they’re already starting to flop.
I took before and after pictures, but I decided it showed waaay too much of the “storage” that has piled up in the grow room. Sorry gang, you’ll have to settle for tent pics! :battingeyelashes:

A pleasant little surprise on the 1 gallon Candida - little brown hairs starting to fill in!

Well, that’s the full tour for the day! Hope you’re all making the best of things and Happy Gardening! :ciao:

Looks great Hh. It's no coincidence that I never show my plants out of the tent , I have similar storage plies going on in the garage that I grow in...Mrs. N doesn't like to throw anything away lol.

Wow the Candida sure is a beautiful plant you're doing such a good job with her and all your flowering ladies.

Mrs. N doesn't like to throw anything away lol.
Lol, guilty! Me and Mr H both, so.... :laughtwo:
They’re looking super HH, good job on them.
Thanks Penny!
Excellent clean up on aisle 3! And it looks like there's some new growth lower down on the Hiydrow, so it may yet catch up to its statuesque stable mates. :thumb:
Lol, I haven’t given up hope. If she does make it, I will be truly amazed by this plant and what they can withstand once more.
