Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

So, I just did a web search for trichome webs and found this:

Trichome Web

Is this what you all are talking about?
I don't believe so. They aren't talking about capitate trichomes. They are talking about plant mimicry.
This appears to be some sort of guttation (for lack of a better word) of the trichome head.

Did you do a search for capitate trichomes? I found a short article on Maximum Yield but not much real info.

There is a lot of info online. Lots of different types of trichomes too.

Here are a few pics of plant mimicry.
If it was a true self-defense mechanism in cannabis I think it would be more prevalent.

Hi again grow buddies! I’ve been taking a bit of a rest, with only one plant + clones to take care of, and it’s been nice. I think I really burned myself out this time around! But I wanted to at least post some proof of life for the last lemon standing.

Once again, the leaves are a bit toasted. Seems to be an unpleasant trend for me lately. She is getting closer, still a ways to go though. Her smell is getting a little stronger, but it’s really just a hint of lemon.. and cat pee. No moist towelette yet VG! :laughtwo:

I’ve got a cup of Candida cuttings I need to look at tonight. I’ve been slacking and I’m kinda surprised they’re not all dried up already. The mango kush clone (on the left) has gone just wild with her branching. She looks more like a bush! Not sure if she’ll be staying around or not, but she’s getting beastly - for being in a solo cup.

That’s about it for now. I have to gather my data for all the recently harvested plants, so I can make a weigh in post. But it won’t be the best info because I ran out of gas near the end. A couple plants were run through the trim bag and others haven’t been cleaned up at all. But overall it was a successful run and we will be stocked up for a good while.

I hope all is well with you, and you’re staying safe out there, my lovelies!

I harvested my Lemon Auto today and mine definitely smelled lemony and she was so sticky.

Yours looks great! I hope you take on fewer plants next time so you aren't so stressed. :hugs:

That’s exciting! Congrats on the harvest, that makes me look forward to how she’ll progress even more. And that is most definitely the plan for next time! Or at least stagger them out better. :)

Get a move on. This bib of mine is getting filthy! :Rasta:

Oooh I'm someone's lovely!
Lol, you’ve been someone’s lovely! You’re just now noticing?!

Thanks for the encouragement, Shed. Unfortunately, I forgot to water yesterday morning and the leaves are a bit worse now. Oof!

Hello hello everyone! I wanted to update with a little recap and the final weights for the kush kingdom run. So here we go!

The recap: these were each started at different times, but still within a few weeks of each other. OG kush was first, then blackberry and CPK, last was mango. The first three were in 5g fabric pots, and the mango was in a 3g. The first three were in a combination of promix hp and promix bx. They suffered with the uppot/switch of these, I never figured out why, but I will do my best to not repeat that again. Mango was in just one promix (bx I think?) but she didn’t have any issues at all throughout her grow. I started them all off using MC, but switched to general organics during bloom. Lastly, they were each lollipopped 3 weeks after flip, with the exception of OG kush.

Okay, back to current day and the final kushy weigh in. But first, some quick disclaimers: I did not do a quality trim the last two plants (og kush and mango kush). I dried them and put them through the trim bag, but no further cleanup of the remaining leafage. I also had been smoking the OG kush from the moment it dried, so I would guess I smoked about and eighth of it before I weighed it. Very unscientific. And then a quick last reminder that I lost two good sized cola tops of the critical purple kush to bud rot.

Drumroll please…….. :tommy:

Blackberry kush - - - - - - - - 113g (4 oz)
Critical purple kush - - - - - 146g (5.2 oz)
Mango kush - - - - - - - - - - - 178g (6.3 oz)
OG kush - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 185g (6.6 oz)

Beyond happy with these results and I will be stocked up with kush for a good long time. So far my favorites go - OG, blackberry, mango, and then cpk. Mr H says his favorite is easily cpk, so that works out well! :high-five:

I was worried about the mango because when I smoked it, my nose would run and I would cough like crazy, but now it doesn’t. So it either cured and now I can handle it, or (most likely) I have allergies of some sort acting up, which I have never had before?I started taking some Benadryl and haven’t had the issue again with the mango. Who knows? I was afraid I was getting sick, but I guess it’s allergies? Weird. Either way, I’m glad it worked out because I do like it. It’s not as good as the first couple times I grew it, but still good.

Blackberry and OG kush are both nice and relaxing, very chill. We smoke the OG before bedtime and it works well for us. The mango seems to do okay for me as a daytime smoke, but it does make me a bit lazy. What should I expect though? It’s a kush! They do seem to help me with my anxiety, they help calm me down and relax a bit, which is what I was hoping for.

I can’t think of anything else to mention about them. But I am happy to see that it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference whether I use a 3g or 5g pot! I’ll likely stick with my 3g from now on.

That’s a wrap on kush kingdom! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe out there lovies!

I know that I can get some pretty good weights from 3gal pots. They are my go-to size as well.
Great job on those Kushes!

I'm super curious about your next grow. The suspense is killing me!!!

The Kingdom of Kush sounds like a wonderful magical place! If you ever wanted to write a childrens' book, you can make that the location. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Amazing numbers, especially getting 6.3oz from a 3 gallon pot (regardless of how tight the trim). Well done on all, and since you and Mr H's ranking list worked out so well...it's like you live in a magical kingdom!

:bravo:
Thanks Shed! It worked out pretty well, didn’t it?! Lol, the kush kingdom will put you to sleep, that’s for sure! ;)

Me too!! :laughtwo: Too many good choices. Might have to draw seeds out of a hat!

Oops! I forgot to tell the weigh in for DDA! I’ve only grown one before this and if I remember right, it was about 1.5 oz. Since then I upgraded from a blurple, to an hlg and have had really good results with it. Well, DDA is no exception, this one weighed in at 119g (4.25 oz). :bong: This one is another girl that did not get a proper trim, so the real weight is less. But I’m super happy with it, whatever the true weight is. Certainty an improvement from the last one!

Okay, that’s really all of the news now. Thanks for all the support through these grows everyone. It really means a lot to me. :)
