Heavenly Hybrid’s Hideout: Jump In Anytime

Congrats again HH! And thanks everyone for having this great summative discussion about drying.

:nomo: Am taking notes!

EDIT: I'm not envious of those of you living in low humidity regions when it comes to drying

I get to call one of these low humidity regions home; sometimes I don’t even want to fart outside.

Hello grow buddies, I hope you’re all well and good! Not a lot is happening here now that harvest madness is over. The autos are the most interesting ladies these days so here’s the latest with them.

Here’s Jack Herer

Getting her stretch on for sure. I’m so pleased with her shape this time around. This is probably my best LST so far and I did so much less pinning than I normally do. Maybe the key is - don’t try so hard? :hmmmm:

And here’s my gangly little weirdo DDA

Doing a little more bulking of the pom poms.
She’s showing some deficiencies, I’ll bump up her feed tomorrow.

The rest are just plugging along. Upcans need to happen for basically all the photo girls, just need to move the propagation box out to - I don’t know where... I have a small 75w led that I could use for clones, but I’m not sure where I could put it? Guess I should go sit in my thinking chair :bong:

Be smart and stay safe everyone! Sending you all loves :hugs:

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe! I’ve been plugging along in the garden, but not much was changing until yesterday. I was too pooped to make an update, so you get to read about it a day later! :D

First off, Afghani still isn’t ready, not even close. She’s really cramping my style here!

I was finally able to fix my loupe when I found a tiny Phillips head screwdriver. Not a ton better, but better enough to see!

Not a spec of amber, not even all cloudy yet. :eye-roll: Is hoping she’ll be done in a week about right? or foolish? Either way, I need to reassess my plant plans.
Took a little tester, because I can :cheesygrinsmiley:

Over in the veg/auto tent, I finally uppotted the Sour Tangie, WWxGG, and Bubba Kush into 1L plastic. They were dropping and sucking down their water in about a day. Not totally root bound, but so ready to move up. I also moved the Afghani clone and Candida clone into their final homes, 3g fabric pots. They were also super ready for transplant.
They’re all still a touch droopy in the photo. It’s also end of day. Lol, they look how I felt!

DDA is still having a bit of trouble with some deficiency. I think I was under feeding for a long time. I’ve bumped her up to 5g/gal, so now I’ll watch and wait. Maybe bump it up again to 5.25 for the next feed.

I was originally planning to move the Candida and Afghani clones into the big tent and let them veg for an extra week or so while they acclimate to the qb. With Mama afghani taking so dang long, I may just have to move them over and hope for the best. I was also hoping to dry afghani in the tent, but my hopes seem to be dashed.

That’s the haps in the hideout. Ooo, and one more thing - we got a new little kitty!

Still doesn’t have a name, so I’ve been calling him “little kitty” clever, I know. :nerd-with-glasses:

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and may your gardening be happy. :)

I’ve been thinking about getting another cat. My last one died at 19 yr and I’m afraid the next could outlive me if it lived that long

19 years together, how wonderful! I say if you’re ready, get another. Pets make you live longer (and happier, imo) life :) My previous cats made it 13-15 years. I miss them still
Gardens looking great, nice kitty I think I’ll call him Warlock! Lol
Lol, I’m a little surprised you didn’t pick Church ;)
Ooohhhh tester nug looks good!
Thanks DAB :cheesygrinsmiley: it sure helps tide me over when I want to harvest so bad!

Black cat he has to be a Warlock lol

I'm a little concerned about the heavy lid on the left eye and the goop in the corner. Could be nothing, but I'm a worrier.
:circle-of-love:
Agreed Shed, he has a vet appointment soon, so I’m watching it and keeping it clean. I woke him up for the pic and that’s when it’s worst, so hopefully we can make it to appointment day.

He could have scratched his eye on something or he may have a small cold. It doesn't look that bad and a lot of kittens have this so don't worry too much. Sure he will be fine until the vet visit.

My son is reading Pet Cemetery right now. No joke.
That’s a trip! It’s all too scary for me and I’m a grown ass woman! Lol. I know the basics, and that’s about all I need/can handle. :lot-o-toke:

Thanks VG, I was worried at first when we got him. It’s gotten a little better since then. I’m sure it helps that I’m home to wipe it whenever it’s gets boogerey.

Lots of kittens, especially those reared outside will get conjunctivitis. Most of the time it will clear up on its own. Watch for signs of lethargy and any indicators of the kitten in discomfort, repeated rubbing it's eyes or lack of appetite.
These could be from something different like protozoa or an URI.

Congratulations on achieving such fine yield numbers and for surviving all that trimming work!
Anyhow, the final weights are in for the first 4 and the numbers are by far my personal bests.

Nightingale —————— 62g
Dr. Seedsman ————- 126g
Candida ———————- 83g
Critical Purple Kush —— 139g
If my math is correct you only need another 44g from Afghani to hit the "one pound" milestone. :high-five:
Overall I like dry trim for a lot of reasons:

• I finally got to experience scissor hash, which I never get with the wet trim!
Personally, I prefer to keep the trichomes on the buds, and to keep my scissors clean. ;)
I wish I had a thinking chair. Wherever I sit a TV is on!
You need a hammock in your yard! I like to say that I do my best thinking while relaxing on the hammock, but really I just get high, listen to some music, and take a nap.
Ooo, and one more thing - we got a new little kitty!
So adorable! :circle-of-love:
