HashFart Tries Bubba Kush

I wish I could be of more help Hash! Much of what I do is stumbling though going by feel. I actually need to trim my ladies below next sunrise.

I normally grow them out and depending on how flexible they are put a net over about 2 weeks maybe 3 before flip and just spread them out to cover about 75% and then flip. I'm not sure my technique is a true scrog but it helps train and support.

As the plant grows after I put the net in, I just tuck and keep everything as level as possible. I'm sure you have seen these posted but this is the lazy hacks approach

If you put yourself down one more time you sweaty Mook and call your self a hack ill drive my ass down to Calgary with watered down bacon grease in a child super soaker and sick pierogi on you sir , ,,, no I'm not expecting anything fancy just to spread out and help support some colas , but 3 weeks before flip eh ? I'm going to really try and shave her legs good I struggle with snipping I feel like I'm hurting her

I've only done the SCROG thing once but found it extremely difficult to water the plants in the back of the tent.
Another thing is that the plants in the back of the tent may be done before the ones in the front which is another pain in the arse I experienced. I caught a break because the tent I have has windows on the sides and I could water and harvest through them. I think a lot of people will tell you that SCROGs do better with a single strain or maybe even a single plant but don't let that discourage you, it's for sure the way to maximize yield. If you're planning on putting all 4 in the net you may want to consider letting them grow upwards for a bit longer than you normally would before beginning the training just for some extra room underneath. Your girls are looking good, I'm going to tag along if you don't mind.
No problem brother ill try my best , yes this is what I'm worried about I have 3 bubba and 1 godfather and one blueberry , I think I'm just going to risk it and some might end up being super amber , ill just harvest based of the bubba because there is 3 ,,,,,,,,, I don't get discouraged if I fail , it doesn't bother me , I just enjoy learning , so jump in speak up I'm happy to have ya along brother !!!

3 weeks might be a stretch. I'd say 2 but it depends on how out of hand your plant gets before the screen. I grow it out and top and then when one gets way ahead you want to keep that one down so the longer the canopy stays level the longer you could wait before adding the net in theory and the less time you would need after. You can see mine had one super long one on the left. I think I flipped 2 weeks after net.

Basically, for me I add the net when the canopy isn't level and to correct that. And I leave the net on and flip when the net is 75% full. If the plant is really flexible it gives you a huge margin of safety

Happy Sunday Hash! True confession, [insert self criticism here] I was way off on my timeline. Here is day one when I put the net on [aug 13]

Thanks for getting back to me on that Modest, I think mine will be similar size when I start ,,,, I'll just try to keep ticking branches during stretch and see what happens

Yeah the plants will definitely dictate the timeline but you can see how fast it can fill up. I thought for sure it was at least two weeks but I looked back at my journal.

I bought some of that GolfGreen stuff recently, is that what you're using? there must be no wetting agent added because water just beads off of it and there's probably no pH buffer either. It's a good price but doesn't seem like a promix alternative, maybe with a bit of tweaking though (lime, perlite and yucca or aloe). It took about 2-3 weeks to fill the net for me as well. I had to unscrog and deal with some bugs along the way.

Yes there is no buffer it is golf green , my feed is ph to 7 because it drops fast , but once I transplant it will be in promix , , ,, golf green works good for seedling it gets air to the roots , next week I should be transplanting

Hey guys , the good news is my blueberry had a massive growth spirt after the feed ,and 2 bubbas are chugging along nicely

The bad news , one bubba is not looking well it's leaves are cupping down , I don't want to call it clawing because it doesn't remind me of clawing but it could be clawing , I don't think its over watering? I treat all 4 the same ? To be honest I've never seen anything like this before ? What is everyone's thoughts? A drink of plain water? A flush? Let the soil dry out ?

Yeah let her dry out a bit HF she’ll be fine. I always think of it how your toes get shaped like brains if you stay in a bath a while - waterlogged. Put her somewhere warm, she’ll be Jake. Funny name for a girl, I know. Hell do I know about funny names right?
You probably said about the blueberry just wondered is that DJ Short’s?

After intense googling I tend to agree water logged !!!! They all are a bit ! I'll place her in front of fan and get a little more light on her for some heat ! I hate plastic pots and can't wait to be in fabric I just hate transplanting out of fabric! Yes from now on she should be known as bubba Jake. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, very odd but interesting of you to know of or ask , but yes a free bean of mine bred by dj short on the package something about f5 whatever that means dj genetics but this blueberry is not I repeat not feminized and will need to be watched very closely

You are very lucky either way. DJ Short died last year. That was a rare bean you popped. If it is male the pollen will be worth collecting! Female, and you may have to run clones until you’ve given enough away that you can get one back if you need it.
Nice one, man :high-five:

That's sad dd to be honest I got this bean from the same guy that gave me my first clone the gelato og , but I do have 4 more beans of this blueberry, I don't think I want a male after all the horror story's but I might cut a clone and give away some , the white widow clone I gave grandpa is looking fancy , I've been storing my beans in a very dry cool place and I've had zero issues germinating a year later , I wonder how long they are good for

If you need to get rid of some blueberry clones in the future, I'm sure I'll have plenty of hash to get rid of or bud or clonesbor whatever haha

I have no problem giving away clones or seeds for free , I have beans of every strain I've grown Journaling on 420 , ww, wfak, bk,bb,wtc, nlauto, bbauto, lmauto, even one gtxp,gf ,I don't ask for anything in return its more then comforting enough they go to someone who has a knowledge of growing and will put to good use , I'm unsure about this topic in 420 guidelines of gifting and think it would best if we ended this conversation here brother .

Well guys I just feel like I'm on a roller-coaster with watering , the saggy bubba is still saggy and soil is damp , the other bubbas started leaf droop because they needed water very light pots and dry soil , my curiosity has got to me so I decided to transplant , I've had issues in the past and the problem was that my plant was really root bound and after a transplant she became better instantly , this doesn't seem to be the case this grow , my plant wasn't rootbound , but I shoved it in a 5g fabric pot in some good ol trusty promix , we will keep an eye on this one bubba , if things start to improve in the promix I'll go ahead and transplant them all into 5g pots , thanks for reading my long rant and don't be afraid to chime in

Seems like I'm also having that issue with one of my bubblegum she tends to look hungry when soil is damp but pulls right along with in half of day
