Hash Fart Trying The Gelato OG Clone

Well someone is going to hash fart in the shed I need this homies help
Right now your good, the pot is a little big is stuff you’ll learn . Just starting a grow is a learning experience and quite a few grows afterwards! Have you learned how to water properly?

That soil should be good for a while, surely till your plants are over a foot tall at least and if you do need to add supplemental ferts, it will most likely be CalMag as that is rich with calcium and nitrogen, but that won't happen for weeks. For now, all you need to worry about is your watering practices. Ideally, you want to water the soil and have the plant drink it up as fast as possible and begin to dry out the soil. When the soil dries, the roots grow in search of more water and growers do the wet/dry cycle to accomplish root production. The bigger you can grow the roots, the larger the canopy will be and the plant will grow more buds.

how much should I water I've been watering once every 3 days but the soil is still wet

When the soil is near bone dry you'd water till the soil becomes completely saturated, or a bit less, but that is for ideal circumstances. When you have a small plant in a lot of soil, obviously the roots haven't yet grown out to reach all of the soil, so it's then pointless to water regions of the soil that have no roots unless you need to buy yourself a day or two extra to go on a road trip or something, but in your case, I would try to only water the area I know there is roots and leave the outer regions dry(ish). This will ensure your roots get wet, and the dryer dirt will wick some of the wetness away from the roots and sort of help you coax the roots to grow.

I wish to point out that I am literally now just starting to grow in a soil that is similar to what you have and have been a hydro grower for years. That said, do note that my experience in soil at this time is very limited. The above paragraph is a combo of what I read of other soil growers in my years and my experiences in hydro. FWIW, I make my own nutes from salts and also now just got into mixing soil amendments. I'm a very hands on crash test dummy kind of grower. I have learned a LOT and try to experience as much as I can. I'm transitioning out of hydro now and in about a month or two will be 100% in soil. I exercise the same practice though with my plants in veg by watering their pots and waiting till they near dry before watering again to also coax my roots to grow. Soil and hydro is a lot more similar than people realize.

but I think it's more important for you to learn what you need done rather than how to do it. So I feel the extended explanations would be more helpful to you than merely doling out blanket instructions.

Great advice my high bound sky bound homie will do , and give you an update next week , it looks like it's getting healthier

I suggest getting an empty pot that's the same size and fill it with dried soil, then weigh it and make mental notes of how light it is. Then completely saturate it and weigh it again, and also make a mental note of how heavy it is. This is how you develop the "feel" of how much water is in the soil and how you'll know when to water.

So you have a Galat OG and a White Widow? Is that right? Awesome start.

I looked up some info on the soil and it appears to be a good starter soil but later on you will likely need some Megacrop or similar for feeding once the plants get bigger. They don't need a lot right now but their needs grow as they grow. If you are interested in a super soil look up subcool's super soil recipe on the interwebs. It has to have time to "cook" (about 6 weeks +/- 2 weeks so it won't help with this grow. One note: subcool's recipe makes over 100 gal. You might look at a 1/2 recipe or even 1/4. Or follow the link for the 1/2 batch and adjust to your needs: Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

Look in my sig below for the proper way to water a potted plant link. The most common mistake people make is watering too much in soil. While the instructions on page one are good, she update several pages into that thread. It's good info.

Your clone(s) look(s) great.

To be honest, my favorite pictures here are of your pup. You have a nice setup and the plant looks good but love the dog!

Pierogi has that "dad's taking my picture again?" look. Haha!

Full credit to Emilya for the watering method.

She likes the purple on the tv and she herself can run like Dalvin cook ,she also knows the word cook so when she hears it she also thinks snacks

Hahaha! Awesome! Smart dog!

They're definitely a good start! Put Cal Mag (any brand) at the front of your wish list.

I say leave them leaves on till the plant is twice as tall.
Thanks alot my skyboundhighbound you have been such a huge help I'll wait till it's bigger ,,,,,, I do have a problem I just found out me and the old lady are going to California in the USA for xmas , I was wondering if I would be able to switch to flower in mid October so I can hang and dry for my 2 week holiday if I make it that far ?
