Thanks for checking it out! My hubby did all the research on everything we use and luckily there is great support here. I've been very fortunate so far with this grow. I'm learning LST and am not the best at it with any stretch of the imagination and am grateful for all the advice! Love this group! .

My son and his fiancé's mental issues is what turned me from being ok with cannabis to a partaker and now grower and advocate for cannabis. Just two days ago my son had a bit of a breakdown because he has never learned to deal with deeper emotions so he starts to self-hate himself when he is feeling things he doesn't understand and will start to lash out at those he loves the most in a self-sabotaging way. It's taken a long time to get where we know what's going on and be able to turn it around. The one thing that helps him not have these episodes is cannabis and he had run out for two days. We were unaware. We were able to get some weed from the mother plant of our clones today and everything is back on track. I truly in my heart do not believe any other medicine would help him nearly as much with his issues without having horrible side effects. These breakdowns used to include violence against himself and things around him (never people) but with cannabis and therapy, it's more about words and energy. So much more healthy with that plant that I don't want him to be without it ever again. It also helps me be calmer and not so on edge waiting for a breakdown and helps my mind settle down so I can sleep. Long back story to say - you are right! Kids are painful at times but they also bring joy! My husband doesn't partake either but he is loving growing cannabis as much as I do because he sees the benefit to others. When we have our own cultivated I'm hoping he partakes a little bit we'll see. .

You’re going to win so much at LST on your next grow you’re going to be sick and tired of winning :).

My grounded son (at 15) also struggles with feelings he has trouble dealing with and shuts down all communication when they come up. (Puberty kind of hit him hard emotionally.) It is self-sabotaging but he's very resistant to therapy. He does find that cannabis helps him deal with it but he's 15 and in high school, so I'm gently guiding him to accepting therapy, unsuccessfully at the moment. I'm hoping that between a good therapist and his still-developing brain he can overcome this adolescent hurdle. Time will tell.

My wife tries to get me to partake every time she lights up! I gave it up in 1981 but she never gives up!

Puberty is a hard time for boys. Some do really well, but I think the majority have a lot of trouble with their feelings. My son also has extreme ADHD and not learning to deal with his issues caused extreme social anxiety to develop. Some of it is my fault as well because I never wanted him to struggle so I "helped" and solved his problems for him. OOPS! It was more than difficult to get my son to accept going to therapy but now that he's in it, he's realizing that its a place for him to say anything including bashing us and his fiance without being judged about it. Its helping him express his feelings more. But its a lot of work as well.

I doubt my hubby will really ever partake much but I'm hoping a little bit here and there. Of course, its all his choice. I'm just happy to have him with me on this journey! :thumb:

Update time:

PH is at 5.8 - 5.9
RH - leveling out at about 40%
Temps are between 70 and 75 degrees

I know that the humidity isn't high enough for the clones so we mist them multiple times a day to help them have a little more moisture. The clones are not in coco yet and won't be until the are transplanted into their final pots, but they are in peat. I also found out that they are not King Louis XIII but are Emerald OG instead. I was able to get some bud yesterday from their mother plant and I was seriously face-planted and slept better than I have in a long time.

I haven't named them yet - any suggestions?

And on to the bigger girls! Beuhla, Misty, Thumbalina and Claire are at Day 41 and Thomasina is at Day 33. I took a picture of each plant and one of their top cola.

Off to Christmas shop - ugh - good thing I only need to buy a couple of things in an actual store. I hate shopping! Thanks!

Great looking gals. Or should I say everyone is happy in that house . I'm gonna do some shopping today too. The wife goes, this morning, " hon..... don't spend tooooo much at the store today".

Me-- muahahhaa

They look great HH! It's amazing how different your blueberries look from mine and from Moonshine's as well! You should start thinking about spreading some of the lower branches on all of them to make sure they are getting light. Not tying them down, just a gentle pull to the outside of the pot with pipe cleaners and binder clips.

I did that with Thomasina and Beuhla this morning. I'll do so with the others as well. Thanks! .

I gave my son a gentle push towards being the one to train in the morning. I can't do it because I usually go to an office in the morning so the girls had to get trained partway in their day and then they get left that way all night. I hate doing that. I can't imagine it's good on them. ☹️

But that's exactly what training is. You slowly change the position of the branches over a few days but you never un-train them. Once they're tied down they stay tied down. When they grow out further you pull them out even further. Always tie, never untie.

Couldn't help it! I was thinking that it was like I was performing some s&m and it went downhill from there!

I did pull some branches down on Claire as well but forgot to get a pic of her and had just rearranged the room to give each just a tad more room and couldn't face trying to get her out again. Here's the new set-up.

Not terribly different but the humidifier is in the front with the clones so that they are in more direct contact and I can reach it better to refill.

Now I'm really off to shop. Can't put it off any longer..

Huh! You know you've said that before but now it is actually sinking in. I can be a little slow sometimes. .

I guess I'm not an LST follower. I used to tie down branches and leave it, but I don't anymore for a handful of reasons. I approach training like most things. In moderation.

Sometimes I super crop, or top.

Sometimes I roll the stems in my fingers with some pressure until they soften. It bruises and damages the stem and has to be repaired. The repairs strengthen it. The branch has to pick itself back up. Bonus: this makes my fingers smell great.

Sometimes I pony tail and leaf tuck for hours or a whole day by accident.

Sometimes in veg I'll wrap my fist lightly around the bottom of a branch and move upward while bending gently outward. It's like petting a cats tail. The idea here is to train the branches out from the base of the plant while reinforcing them with scar tissue which will help support future weight. That's the theory.

In conclusion, I combine LST and HST in an effort to make my plants do exactly what I want instead of following any singular philosophy or technique. I call it MST for moderate stress training. :)

I like that philosophy. As long as you can see where you want you plants to go! I think that was problem at first. I couldn't see where I wanted them to be to plan for them to get there. .

Maybe overwatering? Maybe I gave them too much for the pro-mix. Is it that? If so, can I put them in coco now?
There roots out the bottom if not just keep misting!
