No, don't waste your time or money... I know when I grew for the first time years ago I'd read about people using high pressure sodium and metal halide lights, I didn't have the $ for that so I bought a halogen 500w work light. It's 500w and bright as hell, should work right?? Wrong, it's the wrong light spectrum, very inefficient and is better used to heat the room than grow pot. It will grow pot, but unless you're growing weed to make hemp it's a waste, all you'll get is leaves and a lot of stems.
