Growing Without Bloom Nutes By Farside05

Farside, when do you decide that your seedlings are ready for more light. Is it a particular stage of growth? I’ve had some under about 18000lux since sprout and they’re just over 2 weeks. They have super tight node spacing, almost too tight. I’m thinking they’re ready for me to drop the light a it but am worried it will be too much for them and they’ll stay even tighter. I have a similar light setup - why i ask here (for veg, 640 diodes at 3500K in a 3’ x 3’, I have some 3000K to add in for flower)

I start my seedlings around 20,000 lux. They'll get that for about the first 10-14 days from breaking ground. Early veg I'll up it to 30,000 (about week 3). Veg I keep it around 40,000, and Bloom I'll go 50,000. Was going up to 70,000 in later Bloom but I'm noticing light stress at that level. I think I'm gonna leave it at 50,000 this next grow. Really I don't think I'm moving my light too much until the stretch. The first couple increment (20k,30k,40k) the plants are just gaining height and increasing the level at the tops on their own. My node spacing is very tight, but I like it that way. I don't have that tall of a tent so the stockier the better.

Hey farside I had a question for ya and well any1 that can answer me or help me out really lol. But here is my Pineapple Chunk and she has the most airy wispy buds I've ever seen. At first I thought she would fatten up and the buds would thicken up over time an tht she was jus running alil behind for some reason. But all my other plants are way fatter then her now so I was wondering is she ever guna thicken up or should I jus toss her an put something else in its place?

I concur with @InTheShed . They got a long way to go yet from the looks of them. There's still time for them to fatten.

Just dropped the seeds for next round. Doing Triple Cheese and Peyote Critical, photos, both from Barney's Farm. Hoping the Triple Cheese sprouts. Didn't even recall having it. It was a freebie. When I was reading the write up it says Tingly. I'm looking for some tingly weed that makes your body feel like a hit of nitrous oxide. I've had the experience a couple times before from some Northern and Critical +, but it was a one time thing from both and couldn't get that feeling back in future uses.

Relaxing in the pool on the last day of vacation. Went to make a tropical drink with coconut rum and tequila and accidentally put in regular rum. Well I still had to put in the coconut rum for the flavor I wanted so I ended up with 4 extra ounces of alcohol in my pitcher. Can't throw it out. Gotta drink the mistakes. Tastes pretty good but hard hitting. Of the 40 or so oz in the pitcher, 12 are alcohol. 3/4 of the way through, not a care in the world.

On to weed related news. Hope to have some weights up for the GSC and Blue Dream I harvested tomorrow. I think they'll be dried enough and ready for cure then.

Better than some options. For those that don't know, I work in emergency services. Last year our winner of "Most Undignified Ways To Die"... Dude got some Fentanyl laced Heroin. Shot up. Got sick/ODing. Went into the bathroom of the Waffle House. Was found face down in the toilet. The Fentanyl didn't get to him first. Official cause of death, downing in the men's room toilet of the Waffle House. Eeeew!

Some weights from the Girl Scout Cookies and Blue Dream'matic #1

First up the GSC. From a plant that was being choked out by the two Blue Dreams, she really put out the weight. The buds were big and hard like hand grenades and stayed extremely dense through the drying process. I'll categorize bud as Grade A (nice nugs you'd want to smoke) or Grade B (lesser quality, fluffier, something for edibles).

Blue Dream'matic #1 was about as I expected. She yielded well. Not quite as dense as the GSC but good quality.

So from the two plants, thats 496.6 grams or 17.5 ounces and I still have the big girl yet to harvest. 18.5 oz was the tents previous best. That number will be smashed when Blue Dream'matic #2 gets the axe.

Still waiting for sprouts to appear from the Peyote Critical and Triple Cheese seeds I planted in the Jiffy plugs. I did some general cleaning in the weed office, cleaning from harvest and getting things spruced up before I get too far into the next grow.

Thanks both. I've always crammed 4 plants in my tiny space. This grow I only had 3 in there since I could never get a 4th seed to take hold. Ended up with my best to date. Now the question becomes, was it the change in nutes or did having less plants in the tent help. Testing that theory a bit with only 2 plants being grown on the next run.

I've fit 13 in the shed at once, but it is fucking miserable. I'm shooting for 4-6 monsta plants next grow
