If you're growing first time- maybe I wouldn't reduce the lighting hours. I've been doing it but I'm growing mostly sativas which as I mentioned are flowering for 100+ days. There are benefits to cutting the hours and simulating 'fall'. But it also can reduce yield a little. It doesn't seem like your short flowering strain is having trouble finishing and I'd just leave well enough alone. If you want to try it in future you'll have something to compare to. Just my 2c- really you could do it either way with success.

thanks weasel , that's what i read too but considering i have about 16 colas that are well over 1ft some closer to 2ft, yield should be good maybe it would benefit from shortening light hrs ya know but i may just wait though, i took two clones of this to last 2 more go harvest id rather upgrade equipment first before ordering new strains ya know

I would start flush right away. That is just a personal opinion. It depends on the high you are after. You do not want to wait for 50% amber though. As the trichs go cloudy to amber that means the thc is starting to get to its potential and starting to degrade. I would think you would want to pull it with no more than 20% amber, but again, it is the type of high your looking for.. .more cloudy is more of a heady type high...more amber is more of a couch lock type high.

UPDATE Jan 31st 2015 - day 50 flowering, 14-20 day flush started. bud color looks great. there are about 16 colas that are over a 1ft tall with bud and rock hard too. there's about 12- 14 smaller colas about 4-6inches longs packed with hard bud.

UPDATE..... as of now it looks like i will be chopping her up around the 15th of feb and that will be 65days flower. will be posting many picture as go. as of now i,m going to wet trim and hang dry in a rubber maid tote im finishing up, any advice on trimming and drying is always appreciated.

it was in the first post. its strain hunter money maker, i am aware its not the best strain but my buddy gave me the fem seed for free so I'm not complaining. i did notice it is a fast and heavy flowering strain, stunk like hell and tons of resin when i cut her. nice frosted look to it too.

UPDATE FEB-23-2016 FINAL DRY WEIGHT.....

first off sorry for taken a bit to get around responding been super busy the last couple weeks.
quality was as good as id hope, buds were very airy after chop im pretty sure it was temperature related. after dry, cure they condensed inwards and gain some density smoke was slightly harsh possibly harvested a week too early but very still a very relaxing body high, no paranoia, just hand me the remote kinda feeling. final dry and cure weight was 313 grams.

i will be starting a new journal in the next month or so with changes and fixes to the issues with this grow such as heat/temperature so just waiting on new gear to arrive. also purchased new genetics dr kripplings incredible bulk and will be switching to rdwc in flower with external res

i ended up with 2 gallon bags full of trim. veg time was 70days in dwc, i topped her at 8inchs then waited a 3 weeks and topped all the end branches to make her bush out so she was only 10inch tall from basket to the last node by the end of flower. used lst and supercropping for scrogg prep and vegged an an extra 2 weeks after i put on the scrogg and did initial trim work under the scrogg to let some of the limbs situate and grow through the scrogg a bit.. honestly i think if i had my tent more dialed in the yield would have been a lot better. temp of 90+ degrees for weeks or longer made the buds very airy, so airy that they dried in 2days. they shrunk during cure but still dry weight over 10oz, i feel like if the temps were better it would have been 15oz or more.

I still have the all the sugar trimmings in th e bags since I have the cloneof the same strain in flowering while setting up a bigger tent I'm gonna let it flower out and take both sets of sugar leaves and make ice bag hash then I was considering using the hash to make a vape tenacure for dripping attys cus I'm a vape guy
