Growing A Legend: An Auto Tribute To Jack Herer

Interesting. That brings us up to three seed companies now, along with CKS and Greenhouse Seeds.
No pretty sure it's the greenhouse seeds strain...I'll check my past orders...but sure it's the same as Vans...I mentioned it to him early in this thread

I guess the priority is whether they grow or not more so than where they come from.

Will they be ready sooner or will they just be bigger when they're ready at the same time? I'm kind of leaning toward the second one.

They run on an internal clock, so the best life you can give them in that timeline the better results you get...at least that's my plan. Most people will say that the seed vendors harvest estimates are on the optimistic side. You can run them 24/7, which seems a bit cruel to not give any living thing a rest. I run mine @ 20/4 and they seems very happy. My first batch of autos I started too early (May) since I was growing them in a GH using sunlight. They eventually grew out, but were not as good looking as my current autos (even though they got stunted by the cold temps...but that's another story).

I'm running 20/4 too, but I just have CFLs and I don't get great growth anyway.

Can you put a hole in your roof over the grow?

No mailman yet.....any day now!
Let's do just that.....whatever your medium, soak or not 12:01 am Feb 12th, sounds good.

So whats the final list of players here......looks like weve got a wicked group!

ÃŒve got those all over my house. They're wicked smart but not enough lol.
What, it just runs down through and lets in light? Fuckin' cool! I'm going to put them all over the trailer when I win the 6/49 jackpot. Then I'll burn the place down and move into a house haw!

Pot is ready. I put some sunshine mix #4 and EWC into the solo cup so the mix wouldn't be too hot for a seedling, cut the bottom off so it can grow down into the pot without me having to transplant. Once I see it taking off, I'll cut the cup off around it.

Just waiting to plant.

Good morning guys....

Yes they do. Intended to be a skylight in places that you'd assume skylights can't go. Then you get a clear acrylic Dome on your roof that looks kind of like R2D2s head LOL. I was able to put a skylight in the basement by running the reflective ducting for it through a linen closet on the second floor and the pantry on the main floor. He inside of the connective duct work is highly polished like a mirror. Even on a cloudy day or even at night time it still produces light by reflecting the moon if you can believe it....i sense a natural sunlight basement challenge NEXT lol...

Since everyone is divulging their grow information LOL..... I guess I should do the same. So due to the success of my white cookies in DWC, I have decided that I am going to try it again in the Legend Grow. With the tutelage of Derbybud, I am going to start my seed in paper towel, then to my cloner for midlife, then into her final bucket. No idea how a Ruderalis will take to all of the movement in her roots.......lets see! My germination trial run is underway.....hence me popping random bagseed in My own grow.

It would be wicked cool to get together with you guys .....All of you guys after this is done and compare smoke rather than just notes ... Although I don't expect you to save it either LOL.

Have a great day gents......

Fert, are you bubbling nutes in that Lowe's pail or your ACT? Is there a feeding pump going on there too? I'd like to know about a feeding system so I'm able to have vacation this year lol. My auto feeder is my buddy lol.

Don't know if I'd want it with photo plants but I can picture being a good setup.

Now that's gutsy to be using a cloner for the first time on a throw down.
I also have an auto watering system I made in my first journal so I could go on a week plus vacation and not have to worry about feedings and I was watering 3 times a day. 27 gal. Tote. Works like a charm. Only thing is with different strains sometimes takes different EC of feeds for individual plants, but if your running like 6 of the same strain it's tits. I'll try to get pictures up. Cost was less than $100. More like 75 of I remember correctly

It's the first time I'm using it too actually. It's not quite automated yet, but I can set it up on a timer pretty much whenever I need to. It's just a submersible pump at the bottom of the pail of water ( it's just plain water, but I put LABs in it to keep bacteria from growing ) and the manifold with the distribution lines at the top. I've only ran it once so far and it saturated the pots pretty nicely, so for now it just mostly beats bending over and hand-watering the six pots, especially if I end up scrogging them.

But yeah I need to make another one for my other tent full of plants. They're pretty cheap to put together; this one was a little costlier because I bought all the parts online, but in town I think you can put two together for about 30-40 bucks.

What I really want to do is hook them up to some Blumat Automatic Water sensors. They're basically little moisture probes that open up the distribution line depending on the amount of moisture in the soil, so when it drops below a certain threshold it will open the distribution line and let water through. They're pretty spendy though, it's like $45 for a 5 pack of them. I decided I'd put together the systems with timers and then save that for another future investment, but cannabis growers seem to love them so it's something I'm going to check out for sure. But seriously if you like the look up of this system, check out Blumat first because they have a nice gravity-fed reservoir setup to use with them and I hear very good things.

The nice thing about a setup like this is that you can upgrade the size of your reservoir at any time, simply take the pump and manifold setup out of the bucket and place it in a larger container. I've even had an idea of setting up a float-switch and connecting it to my kitchen water line--so that way if the water level drops in the resovoir, it activates a little switch and draws some out from under the sink. Another little "future plan". For now the distribution line and the pump just make watering easier. In any case, even a 5 gallon reservoir will probably last almost a week for all my plants.
