Growheart's Gals - Blue Cheese, K-Train - CFL Soil 2nd Grow

Looking nice and healthy. If I were you I'd cut down the edges of the cups so they can get side light as well. Or you could wait until they stretch a bit and fill in with soil.

Either way, off to a good start.

wow, babies...
love that brand new look they have....like starting over fresh.....good job, L

Hiya Lavendar, thanks for stopping by my grow, it was definitely nice to start fresh though some of this indica bag smoke from my first grow is so tasty, its making me wish a reveg could have been possible.. Oh well fresh has been very nice and clean to manage and thats a huge bonus.

I appreciate your kind words! Lovely garden you've got as well, have been lurking there before :) :peace: :ganjamon:

Hey Akasa - that's not a bad idea, as the leaves are starting to get quite bushy and block the littler ones, but I think once I transplant it won;'t be an issue. Transplant should be soon - they are starting a growth spurt now that I made some adjustments. Cheers!

On to round two now huh?! Looking good,I will defently be watching:)

Hey j4s good to have you along brother, round two couldn't come soon enough even half way through my first grow it was already being planned. It's now 3 full weeks as of today (Sunday) since putting the seeds in germination, and I will be counting this as the beginning of the second week of veg, and now that I have recoverd from a bit of nute problems, things are smooth!

And now it's slightly postponed due to snowboarding season starting update time ! :yahoo:

First here are 3 backdated pics that I meant to post earlier...

Day 17

BC_KT_Week_2_14.jpg

As you can see in these pics there was some nutrient lacking in all 3 of the Blue Cheese seedlings, while the K-Train seemed to be doing better in terms of leaves yellowing. I was using distilled water for the seedling phase, and have since switched to plain old tap water, and upped the nute content to 12/12/5 mL A/B/Aussietonic into 4 L or around 1 Gal of tapwater. Went away for two days and have returned to some beautiful green and happy looking ladies!

:cheertwo: RoorRip Time to toke a bit and post the newest pics from today, hope you all are having a great 4:20

While I post there are a few questions im going to throw out there...

Do you guys think I should start topping & or fimming these as they are approaching 4th and 5th leaf sets, or let them grow naturally as I plan to clone. This leads me to my next question - since these are feminised seeds, should I just grow out the ones from seed to flower and some clones, then make a mother from a clone, OR should I use the best pheno seed plant and use it as mother keeping it in veg ??

Also today I raised the lights a bit from 2-3" to 4-5" as the babies seem to be very short, yet bushy, which is fine but I do not have a real height restriction... should I do this to induce stretch or keep it as close as possible?

:reading420magazine: Thanks in advance for any input.

These first few are from Thursday night right after watering and just before lights out. I used tap water instead of distilled this time, and upped the nutes.

(Day 19 these next 4)

These next 3 are today, after being away for 2 days and returning to find much anticipated new growth, and all of it green showing that the Blue Cheese babies are HUNGRY :MoreNutes: and I shall honor there requests in the future. The KT was given the same solution and is doing great as well, even the smallest KT2 was given this mix, knowing that it was technically too early by my feeding charts but wanting to experiment / speed it up, and it's actually looking great as well :smokin: we'll see how this late bloomer comes along. You can sort of see it in the corner one picture, didnt get a great close up.

(day 21 - growth spurt begins!)

I am pretty excited for the upcoming veg / training / cloning stuff, stay tuned and happy high gardenin' :peace: 420mag

Seedlings are lookn like there moven right along :cheertwo:

That blue cheese is such a strong plant ive noticed in the past 3 grows of it that they can handle very strong nutes. They can also live very well will the bare minimum nutes (my mother Blue Cheese has been alive a year and 3 months and is still pushn clones ) sry all this rambling LOl Just try n to say is that it is a very stable strain (depending on the dispenser) and u should be very happy with it:tokin:
Depending how u want to use those seedlings. I would recommend starting mothers with the seedlings and since you would be letting them veg out for a nice period of time. (in order to get some nice clones to start ) you can wait tell some branching starts to do any alot of pinching:goodluck: . (all of this is just my own opinion )
anyways figured id stop in and see how the journal was goin RoorRip
Keep up the Green thumb.

Man they look great now,the color is nice and green again and they just look healthy,I like how there nice and short:)

Hey j4s, I sure was happy to see the green take over that nasty looking yellow from before! They are staying quite short and Im not complaining, bushy is good for me :) :peace: brother - just heading over to catch up to your PC box harvest report after a bowl ;) - missed it while I was away this week.

Bubbadank, welcome, it's great to have a fellow Blue Cheese cultivator giving input! You can rant for as long as you like, any time you like in here, for sure! At no extra cost! :) As for the dispenser / genetics I am unsure if it's Barney's, or Big Buddah, as it was purchased at a local seed shop and it is not even in their official catalogue, just something the shop owner had picked up while overseas. From what he described of its growing traits, and quality of smoke, it sounds like the better one which I think is the Barney's ? Where did yours come from?

:peace: Bubbadank, come back and :blunt: any time my friend!

:bump: - my questions may have gotten lost in the wave of recent pics, sorry to be impatient but I think my topping window is only gonna be so long...

Hey Lavendar, I did raise the light as your suggestion, and the little ones are just loving their new room to grow. I left for 3 days this weekend, and came back to find 2" new growth, and 1-2" width too! Thanks for the advice again! :peace: Happy high harvests!

I am going to be starting LST and transplanting tomorrow into 2 Gal square pots... There are already root tips showing at the bottom of the beer cups through all that perlite & newspaper! :)

The stems are about 1/2 cm thick in most spots, and as you'll see in the video the little can fan that could is kicking off a steady flowing breeze. I am super ripped off some Super Skunk #5 that we just scored... Soooooo tasty! Now I want to go and grab some seeds of Super skunk, :rasta:.

Yeah I must be baked cuz im rambling like a foo' haha. Wow. Haven't had this kind of head high in a while! :smokin2:
:tokin:

Okay time for some Upping of Dates... UPDATE! Nov 29 ; 4 weeks + 1 day since putting seeds in water, and I don't really know what I should say is the beginning of Veg stage... Since they cracked soil Nov 4 and were seedlings until around the 13-14 weekend, we'll say this sunday begins week 3 of veg.
Nonetheless the following are based on days since seed, like the rest of the sets of pics. I have missed a few days here and there.

The nugs I just grabbed locally, some super Skunk #5, which didn't yeild any results online so it may just be someones own crossed / pollenated SS. Damn fine nugs and high is dreamy. Some keif-box pressed hash is in the oven right now, from 8 gs of shake....

:smokin2: Take care and stay high, pigs can't fly :bongrip:

Wow, this just totally ruined my buzz.... From the Front page of the Cannabis Culture website...

Bill S-10 has been passed by the Canadian Senate, a bunch of crusty old conservative prime-minister-appointed not voted in by the people and loyal to our Conservative PM who is essentially just a puppet whose strings are being pulled by UN, US, and the financial giants...

This is potentially very bad news for people like myself who are just growing for themselves, not hurting anyone, in fact not supporting the gang-drug-networks, and now we could face a MANDATORY minimum sentace of 6 months for growing 5 plants. 5 fucking plants!

Fellow Canadians, if you read this PLEASE stand up for your rights and call your local MP tomorrow, or email, or Canada as we know it will become a police state...

Sorry to drop that rant but anything goes in my journal, and activism is something thats important to me. This, AND Willie Nelson got busted recently for a few Ounces. COME ON! It's Willie Nelson and a bus full of practically seniors... Wake up, prohibitionists.

hey grow,
watch that senior stuff....i are one....yeah, that sux....good old us, nose in again, or still....alot of places worse here tho....unless they changed it, and i
doubt it, it was a hanging offence in two states here....i hope they changed it, as the one state has a rep....for handing out and finishing cap. punishment....they must have, as i know too many who smoke there....

those plants look great....take care, and be stealthy....L:bravo:

What's up Growheart,

Your ladies are looking very green and off to a wonderful start.

I'm not from Canada but I feel your ourrage about putting people in Prison over growing plants. Our Creator put Cannabis on this planet to help futher mankind, instead the greedy overlords of the Planet want to keep Cannabis from helping mankind.......

Sorry to rant and rave in your journal bro....

Hey L, you are sure right in that it could be a lot worse, that is scary to think of hanging offence... Geeezz. I am really just becoming aware of pot laws, pot politics, and even politics in general (I am still fairly young). It just kind of started snowballing around the time I tried growing 2-3 months ago, and now that I've gone down that rabbit hole... well, there is no going back! The scariest part is that the prohibitionists realize that pot leads to learning, and questioning things, and this becomes just another of their greedy reasons for banning it.

There we go, another rant! Well what do you expect, just had a nice bowl from my last grow and I feel great. Just spent a while in the garden, watering the gals, gave them some music, words of encouragement, and tried to make them happy to prepare for tonight's transplant.

Thanks for stopping by Lavendar, always glad to have your kind words in my journal :peace: :thanks:

the 3 BC's and 1 KT that are about 5-6 " tall are going into their next pots tonight just before lights out, 2 Gal square pots. Using more Dutch Treat, and am going to mix in some perlite this time as well... thinking about 20-30%. I also picked up some cloning gel today, in preparation for that, pretty excited for my first cloning :) Will post pics of the setup when it's complete - and LST begins :) I guess I will wait until tomorrow to start the LST, give some time for the transplant shock to pass.

Plants are looking awesome man, defently bigger and green, and look very healthy:)
That bud looks amazing as well,

Gorgeous, healthy babies!!! Your doing great~~:bravo:

Hey Tmac & J4s2u0, thanks for stopping by and the good vibes, it sure is a lot of fun watching these babies grow! I think they are just about to become toddlers or maybe small children now :)

What's up Growheart,

Your ladies are looking very green and off to a wonderful start.

Sorry to rant and rave in your journal bro....

Highya Light-1-up ; good name I think I shall light one up! Your ranting is welcome, wonderful, and wise and anything weed related goes here. Like I wrote in my response to L above, it's learning and sharing information such as what we are doing in this thread that scares them the most perhaps... The plant brings you closer to nature, inspires you to think outside the box, and share the things you learn with others... these things make politicians squirm in their seats...

:peace: brother keep spreadin the good vibes :thankyou:
